Fall 2015. Information out now.

I'm for NYC also. Sailed on three NYC cruises on the Magic and loved not having to fly to the port. I'm just sorry I didn't go to the Bahamas from there. NYC please. I have a lot of friends who want to go with me too.

When we decided to look into our first cruise, the NYC ones were already way up in price as it was less than six months away. We ended up doing a Dream 5n Double Dip booked under OGT (and got a corner 5E).

Decent prices were only still available for the Canada trips, but being the first cruise, we wanted to go to CC.

This time, I have no issues sailing north. And if it does go up to Quebec, then maybe even better as we love the city.

I'm hoping for Texas again. I would change our cruise in a heartbeat. Cheaper to drive 4 hours than fly to Florida.

We also did 3 DCL cruises in 2012 out of NYC....the first 8 night Bahamas, the August 2 nighter and a Sept Canadian cruise. Love, loved, loved not having to fly and having the port 30 minutes from our door. Had to take advantage of her being so close!!!

Silverfox said someone had mentioned it on this thread. That was prior to anyone mentioning New Orleans. The possibilities mentioned were West Coast, Canada, Texas, Tortola and San Juan. Tortola and San Juan have been talked about before so neither of those would be a surprise.

The suspense is killing me.

I hadn't planned on booking anything for fall of 2015 since we have the EBTA planned for May 2015 but I won't be able to resist a MR sailing while the kids are on fall break.

While I'd love to have it be West Coast, I'm going to go with Texas.

But not Galveston (I think DCL pretty much burned their bridges there by pulling out of their contract with that port early), I'm thinking it will be the new port out of Houston.

In checking http://www.cruisetimetables.com/cruises-from-houston-texas.html I'm not seeing a lot of ships scheduled out of there after April until November. And then only one or two. It's a new port and probably looking for cruiselines to sign up with them.

New Orleans was already speculated, so its not that according to silverfox.

But cruises out of Texas don't stop at CC, right?

Excellent!
TX is only slightly further from my home than PC. I'd consider any cruise that stopped at CC!

The answer to this is some of the cruises do and some don't. They offered only a very few 8 night cruises that went from Galveston to Castaway Cay and the following day at Disney World (bussed to and from Port Canaveral).
They also offered a couple seven nights that had Castaway Cay but not the port Canaveral Disney day.
They also offered seven nights that did not do Castaway Cay and shorter holiday cruises that did not go to Castaway Cay. Basically you had to check the itineraries.

This. Our cruise out of Galveston did not stop at CC.

Don't understand why would they return to TX. Galveston did poorly and they pulled out ahead of the end of the contract. They had a hard time filling ships because of TX strict school laws.

NY cruises south sold out but they were 8n cruises. The ones sailing north did pretty well but the Canadian ports were very expensive (NY port was expensive too).

We'll see...

SilverFox said the news would be very surprising and that it wasn't speculated ... that makes me think Texas.....I don't think anyone would expect Disney to come back since it did so bad while they were here :confused3

Agreed - that one is a serious wild card if its true, so my money is on that. Which would be great, because I would not be tempted to change my plans for 2015 to take advantage of the fall foliage in October... :surfweb:

So the DCL Facebook page says "A new journey sets sail soon" and an announcement to be made Monday. So what could the new destination (or port? like Houston?) be?

I really wanted to do one of the 8 night cruises with the stop at PC but they weren't offered at times I could take the kids. Since I'm looking at Fall 2015 for just DH and I, I would be glad to do one of those out of Texas (still easier to fly to Texas than FL).

Hum, I wonder if they might try doing that with something on the west coast (out of San Diego??) with a stop in LA and day trip to Disneyland. :confused3

My guess: port of Baltimore. It's unexpected and the DC area has money. Earlier this week we were up in DC and we heard tons of DCL ads. They were playing an ad hourly on the news channel.

Could they sail from here for leaves in Fall...? My plans! my beautiful plans! :scared1:
