Fall 2015. Information out now.

If NYC is a no go then I'd love to see Baltimore to Bermuda. I would drive 4 hours to Baltimore !

Quebec City please! I'd love to just take a taxi to the port! Montreal would do in a pinch as well.

Baltimore sounds good to me. Less than 2 hrs from me. My family loved the 2 day cruise to nowhere out of NYC. Would love to see more of that option

Sorry, I should have specified just a new port of origin!
Most of the speculation seems to be where the ship will start instead of where it is going!

I am more inclined to think we are talking about new destinations as well. That's what they said they were focusing on isn't it? :confused3 I'm hopeful for new origination ports, but I don't think that is what they are referring to.

Don't forget that security was questionable there at the end as well as violence in the region rose... I think a good number of people who would have traveled there pulled out/didn't book at the end due to it. Other cruise lines have since returned.

Sorry, I do not believe this. Disney pulled out of Mazatlan, as did every other cruise line, but then they went to Fallmouth, Jaimaca, which is a HELL HOLE. Do not leave the port area unless on a ship excursion, anyone will tell you that.

I have gladly walked down the street in Puerto Vallarta and Cabo, and it is safer than many American cities. I just think Disney got lazy, they wanted to sail year round from the West Coast. Do a month of two of west coast trips, then head east for a few months, then head back to Alaska.

Carnival, Norwegian, and Princess seem to understand this...they do a few MR cruises a year and they do great. Why cant DCL?

Someone above has said it.

Remember it has not been speculated. Quebec was discussed as an option, so it's not Quebec.

If you back up and look at all of the posts before the quote above, it greatly narrows down the possibilities.

Good call Nancy. I could have swore NYC was mentioned but simply NE cruises were. I now put my money on MR. Those cruises appeared to sell better than TX and other lines have returned to the area. I think the reason DCL had to pull out of the MR cruises was not because of the violence but because of the publicity about the violence. Most all lines stopped sailing this route around the same time because it became a hard sell.....people were scared of the area. Just my opinion. Good luck to those rooting for TX. Just can't see it happening.

I'd love to do an MR on DCL. I could tie it into a trip to see my best friend who lives in Orange County. :) Oh, and DL! I could see them doing a month of MR either before or after Alaska.

The thing about the MR is that isn't not really "new", if that's what DCL is talking about with their promo.

So these are the posts above where Silver said it was mentioned above...

Westbound Transatlantic
Wonder is back through Panama to San Juan (this was mentioned before, so I think that one is out)
Fantasy to Tortola (Silver mentions this one already, so it's probably not the special one)
Texas
West Coast itineraries (I know I had a thread on MR cruises, so while I really hope they do run them, I'm guessing this is not it either)
Fall New England and Canada itineraries

Feel free to speculate, add your own :D

Just posting this to reinforce what's been mentioned prior to Silverfox's statement of "it's been mentioned".

Also mentioned was a new Hawaii West Coast itinerary.

We were discussing this on the Hawaii thread yesterday. It's got to involve a Tortola announcement, too......

There should be some other very surprising news as well.....

Nothing for me to book this segment of cruises thankfully!

Tortola is being shown as a port on the DCL website site map. Same thing happened with Sitka before it was officially announced.

Revising my previous answer-I'd consider some ports surprising, but none that have been discussed here.

Between the west coast and Texas, my guess is the west coast. Maybe DCL will do 3 and 4-night cruises from LA or San Diego that go to Catalina Island and Ensenada, Mexico. In 2006 I was on a 4-night Royal Caribbean cruise from LA that stopped in San Diego, Catalina, and Ensenada. Those short cruises had been very popular for years.

I think it will be NYC to Bermuda and maybe a stop at CC? I put my money on a Bermuda stop?? :cool2:
