I for one love the Fastpass system. Although it's sometimes a pain in the tushie since you still are technically waiting to ride, it's nice not to be trapped in an hour long line with other grumpies; instead, riding something less popular, eating a meal, shopping, people watching etc. When abuses occur, it's a pleasure to watch the Disney machine handle it too. None of us would like it if the FP's were taken away due to a series of mean-spirited jerks taking advantage; therefore, enforcement is needed. And there are soooo many instances of poor parenting all over the place, where the observer has to just suck it up and not say what they want, that when it's handled officially it's almost a sense of relief.
Last trip out in May/June, my son and I were in the FP line for SM, and a family of non-English speakers were ahead of us. They clearly didn't understand the system, and had gotten their FP's and then went right to the line. The CM at the front didn't catch it, but the CM at the end did; and off they were sent, with an explanation in their own language by the CM. Well handled by the CM and well taken by the family, too; they were embarrassed and apologized, and I bet they did fine the rest of the time.
