Fairy Godmailer vent...UPDATE 1st page

Before our trip to WDW 8/22-8/29 there was a very nice Dis'er that sent my girls a postcard..so in return i offered to send some out as well. Well i sent out my cards like i said i would, while we were there..and you know what..not one of them ever said Thank You. Am i wrong to feel a bit upset by this? As soon as we recieved ours i pm'd our fairy godmailer and thanked them right away, i thought this was the right thing to do.
Oh well maybe i am over reacting..just felt the need to vent.

I sent out 5 post cards last April and I only received one thank you. A thank you would have been nice from the rest, but I just assumed that people get busy.

Try not to let it get you down. You did a very nice thing and probably made some child's day.

There is a Diser that is sending my dds a Cinderella letter when she goes, and she already got a Thank You and will definately get another one. She deserves it, she's going to make my princesses' day I think I will do this when I go in March, I think it's so nice.

If you are the one who sent one to me or my friend's DD...I had deleted my IM's and couldnt find who I had asked Please let me know if it was an Abbey or a Julia..because these little girls LOVED the cards and I am indeed very grateful!

I am guilty of not sending a thank you too...without even thinking about it, I had deleted my PMs too

And I also deleted the addresses I was supposed to play fairy gomailer to...but thank goodness I had already written them down elsewhere!!!

So a very belated thank you to the fairy godmailer who sent my little Lorelei a beautiful card from Cinderella last June!!!

And just know in your heart your efforts were appreciated, especially by the child/children who received the cards, if not by the mom or dad who requested them.

I also would of and wanted to send a thank you, but forgot who sent it to my daughter. I also deleted my Pms and forgot who sent it. I don't think people are rude on purpose all the time, sometimes "things happen"

This happend to us too!! I was a little sad about it, but like a pp said, 'things happen'. This was new for us so my kids knew nothing about it, therefore I didn't have to field any questions from them!
I never gave it a thought that they could have deleted my pm! Glad I read this thread!

I guess they could have deleted the PM. But then again, they could have written the info down right away like I did! My kids knew nothing about it either. Lets hope the Enchanted Call comes through!

Someone took time out of their trip to send your child a postcard to make your childs trip more magical.

Sorry, I think its rude. Mistakes happen I agree, but its still rude. I sent them out my last trip but won't this time. I even walked around to 3 different stores to find a Buzz postcard for the 1 person.

A thank you would have been nice!

I agree....and had something similiar happen. I was doing exchanges and sent what I thought was a special exchange and it never got acknowledged. I tried to not let it bother me but the only thing I can think of is the person who received it didn't like it. Made me sad. So I totally understand how you feel.

Now I feel bad...my Fairy Godmailer sent my kids their postcards this past week and I can't remember who did it! I deleted my PMs in an attempt to clean up my mailbox and deleted those too! I think I will put a generic THANK YOU on the Fairy Godmailer site in case she checks it. I feel terrible for being so STUPID!

If our Fairy Godmailer is reading this post...THANK YOU! My DS and DD were delighted to receive their postcards! I LOVE how your personalized them so well adding the fire truck and tinkerbell references. They were perfect. They came at the perfect time too because DS has been asking me when we are going to Disney. Please feel free to PM me so I can thank you personally. I'm so sorry I deleted your info!

I should add that I'm sending out postcards in October when we go and I was smart enough to write that info down...so I will be sending those out. It's saved in my computer and in my "travel folder".
