Well I knew I had left my program for some time but I am finally getting motivated again and I am ready to kick this thing back into high gear!

I pulled out my journal and the last day I journaled was 08-31-03 so I ended up taking a 4 month break! :eek: It sure didn't seem like it had been so long. Anyway I got on the scale (boy was that tough and scary) and faced the music. I am up about 12 pounds from my low but that low was a fluke thing. I was really holding steady there for a while at a plateau and I am up about 6 pounds from that plateau weight. My first goal is to earn back this 40 pound clippie that I am wearing and from there on it is onward and downward.

I could wallow in my "failure" but the fact remains that I am about 35-45 pounds smaller than I was on last New Years and that is a success. :)

I have started journaling again, I did my WATP DVD again and I feel like things are getting back on track. I want to be feeling more in control and in shape by the time our trip rolls around and I still have a pair of just a little too tight jeans I bought early in the fall sitting in my room. I would LOVE to wear them on the plane! I don't know if I will make it but it should be fun trying.

DH also bought me a pedometer for Christmas so I am going to try to take an average # of steps per day for the next week or so and then try to set a goal to increase by a certain amount.

The bottomline is that I can do this and I am just going to have to become really re-committed again. That also means that I am going to have to start spending more time here soaking up inspiration from such a successful and smart group.

So I hope you can accept me back into the fold after such a long absence. I have missed you guys and I only hope that I can help some here even 1% as much as you all help me! :D
 
Welcome back Becka. It's good to see your name on posts again. I remember when I was considering joining WISH, your posts and journal were so motivating for me. Yes, you have a lot to be proud of with such a big change from a year ago.

Hi, becka!!! I'm so glad to see you back!!! :D :D You have been missed.

You have such a great attitude! You are so right--being 35-45 pounds smaller than last year is a wonderful success. And this is not a race, is it? We don't have to do this by anyone else's timetable--we just have to get there in the end!

I think with the holidays just ending, a lot of us are getting back on track. So you are definitely not alone!
 
Hi Becka, welcome back. You know, we all go through different periods and of plateau's, gaining and taking a break. The most important thing is you are ready to get back on plan and get moving again. Celebrate the fact that you are smaller this year than you were last year and move forward! Together we can all be a success....onward and downward!

I definately have missed your posts! Don't fret about getting on track, today is a new day and it's a new year. Just think...........your still so much better off than you were before you lost the original 40 pounds. I no time, you will be back to that number and on to new and better ones. Congrats for getting back on track. I gained almost 6 pounds in a week and a half, so you did great for only 12 in 4 months. Plus, most people loose a nice chunk in the 1st 2 weeks, so maybe you'll be back to where you were in a few weeks.

Becka-Welcome back. I am glad to hear that you are not being too hard on yourself and you are back now. You will lose those pounds and getting back OP is the way to do it.

You'll enjoy the pedometer, I have one and had not been using for a while and started wearing it again this past week. It really helps you realize when you need to get moving.

Becka, I joined WISH about the time you stopped posting, so it will be great to get to know you! I also use a pedometer (forgot it today and I feel kinda strange without it!). It really helps me see when I need to move more.

Sounds like we'll be in WDW at the same time! We'll both be thinner by then!!

Hi Becka ... Welcome back !!! It's so great to see you again, and your latest picture of your precious little boy ... they sure do grow up fast :(

I've been off program since Oct 30th. I am still going to Curves, but had only journalled a couple of days in the past 2 months. Up until 2 weeks ago, I had been maintaining quite nicely. The last couple of weeks are showing a gain, but I will be totally back on track very soon. Notice I'm not quite there yet ;)

Glad to see you ... hope to see lots more (posts that is) of you !

Hi Becka! I enjoyed reading your thread because, I did the same thing and for about as long. It is always nice to know your not alone. You pointed out that you are 35-45 lbs lighter than last New Years! That's awesome! I am 20-30 lbs lighter (I haven't gotten back on the scale, I will at work). I am motivated to get going again and look forward to the inspiration on this board. Don't forget the value we find here! Welcome back.
 
Becka - Good for you for coming back! You're not the only one earning back their clippee! I have to earn back my last one, thanks to me eating badly during the holidays. We can do this! :)
 
I'm here with you Becka. I went to WW last Friday after a three week hiatus and had gained 4.4 pounds. I can look at food and put on the pounds! I did a little more than looking over the break.

Back OP today. Yummy eggbeater omlette.
