Well I knew I had left my program for some time but I am finally getting motivated again and I am ready to kick this thing back into high gear!
I pulled out my journal and the last day I journaled was 08-31-03 so I ended up taking a 4 month break!
It sure didn't seem like it had been so long. Anyway I got on the scale (boy was that tough and scary) and faced the music. I am up about 12 pounds from my low but that low was a fluke thing. I was really holding steady there for a while at a plateau and I am up about 6 pounds from that plateau weight. My first goal is to earn back this 40 pound clippie that I am wearing and from there on it is onward and downward.
I could wallow in my "failure" but the fact remains that I am about 35-45 pounds smaller than I was on last New Years and that is a success.
I have started journaling again, I did my WATP DVD again and I feel like things are getting back on track. I want to be feeling more in control and in shape by the time our trip rolls around and I still have a pair of just a little too tight jeans I bought early in the fall sitting in my room. I would LOVE to wear them on the plane! I don't know if I will make it but it should be fun trying.
DH also bought me a pedometer for Christmas so I am going to try to take an average # of steps per day for the next week or so and then try to set a goal to increase by a certain amount.
The bottomline is that I can do this and I am just going to have to become really re-committed again. That also means that I am going to have to start spending more time here soaking up inspiration from such a successful and smart group.
So I hope you can accept me back into the fold after such a long absence. I have missed you guys and I only hope that I can help some here even 1% as much as you all help me!
