We returned late last week from yet another wonderful Disney trip and had an amazing time.
I took the laptop with great expectations of doing a "live" trip report but, alas, there just was not enough time in each day. I never even turned the thing on, much less figured out the internet connection!
Anyway, we were in a dedicated 2Br and it was in wonderful shape. I made sure to make a complete walk through upon arrival and checked EVERYTHING and all was in beautiful condition and in working order. Not a single light bulb burned out or a crumb on the floor. The only minor issue was that we had a very loud sliding glass door in the family room but it was taken care of ASAP.
Our mousekeeper, Murielle M. had done a wonderful job so I called housekeeping right away. I first asked for a regular crib to be delivered and then asked to leave a message for the head of housekeeping ... there was a brief pause from the CM I was speaking with and then she polietly asked if I would like to speak with her instead of leaving a message. I said "sure, and not to worry, I am calling with a compliment, not a complaint!" She laughed and put me right through ... I spoke with Millie and told her how happy we were with the condition of the room and the job that Murielle had done. She thanked me for calling, promised to put a note in Murielle's file and asked if there was anything else we needed. I reiterated about the crib, but before we could finish our conversation there was a knock at the door ... the crib had arrived and so had someone to fix the sliding door!
We were there for 7 nights so we received T&T service on day 4 ... another great job by Murielle! All trash was taken out, liners replaced and every towel that had been used was replaced, too. All supplies were restocked, except the laundry detergent but we had received 2 to start off with so this was no big deal. T&T during our past 2 trips to VWL had been done quite differently ... no trash actually removed, and just a stack of new towels placed on each bed. To be fair, we take our trash out daily so there was never much to remove, but having the towels replaced on the racks and tub is a nice touch.
Now, I have to say, we have a new favorite room ... and I have to correct my previous thoughts about fireworks views from the VWL. We were in villa 5537 and had a beautiful view of the lake through the trees and at 9:00 we discovered that we could sit on our balcony and watch Wishes!! Now, it was over the rooftop of the lodge, and slightly blocked by the roof of the balcony of 5535 (a 1Br) but they were beautiful and fully visible. About 10 minutes after the conclusion of the fireworks along came the Electric Water Parade that we were able to sit and watch that, too! During the day we watched many deer in the woods infront of our villas.
I hope to do a trip report and post pictures soon, but in case that doesn't happen I wanted to make sure to post about the wonderful condition of our villa and the wonderful job that mousekeeping did!
