im hoping to buy some wine, but will they ship it back home or how do yall pack it in luggage?? Thanks!!

Shipping wine to your state may be illegal so WDW will not do it. pack it in checked luggage. dirty laundry laundry and a trash bags will work.

The front desk of your resort should be able to help ship packages via FedEx/UPS/USPS. You would need to obtain packaging and box yourself, sometimes the resort gift store can help, but they usually don't stock sturdy boxes. This is done at your own risk, they ship via size/weight just like you would at home, vs the resort stores shipping per cost of items. Whether shipping wine via FedEx/UPS/USPS to your state is legal or not is up to you to determine. I do know that a lot of "olive oil" gets sent via this method......

If you plan on buying any wine buy a wine botttle protector. Wine skin is an option and it uses air so it lays flat when no bottle . Wine skin is just like bubble wrap and a water proof bag so your stuff doesn't get wet if it breaks, others you blow up making air pockets the hug the bottle. There are also foam shipping cubes meant for a standard bottle. They are sturdier but take up more space in luggage.

Ours never lasts long enough to bring home:confused3
I'm still gutted, I thought we had a whole bottle of our disney wedding cuvee in the fridge at our resort after the day. When I came to pack it, it had like half a glass gone out of it. It had been open a week by then. I nearly cried tipping that down the sink.

Directly from USPS:

Beer, wine, and liquor may not be sent through the mail. If you want to reuse a box for shipping that has alcoholic beverage labels on it, remove all logos and labels so your package will pass through the mail system.

From FedEx:

FedEx accepts shipments of alcohol (beer, wine, and spirits) within the U.S. and for both U.S. import and export when the shipper and the recipient are licensed to import and/or export alcohol.

From UPS (the US site not the one that looks like it says they do, which is labeled Estonia and has a UK URL):

UPS only accepts packages containing wine from shippers who are licensed under applicable law and who have signed and entered into a contract with UPS for the transportation of wine.

So that's out.

Buy some "wine diapers" and put the wine in your checked luggage.

Think thats gonna be the ticket!! These people would never make it in the south!! Lol thankyou!!

Found this online https://www.tabc.state.tx.us/public_information/notices/2012/wineShipping.asp

Who is allowed to ship wine to Texans?
TABC has compiled a list of businesses that hold a permit to legally sell and ship wine statewide to adult residents of Texas via a TABC permitted carrier.

A U.S. winery outside of Texas that holds a Direct Shippers (DS) Permit is specifically authorized under Texas state law to ship the wine they produce directly to consumers in Texas.

A Texas Winery (G) Permit holder is specifically authorized under Texas state law to ship the wine they produce directly to consumers, as well as wine they have purchased from other wineries, wholesalers and importers.

View a list of Wineries and Direct Shippers authorized to ship wine statewide. Microsoft Excel format. Adobe Acrobat PDF format. Files updated on October 15, 2012.

Package stores (P) and wine only package stores (Q) who hold a local cartage permit are authorized to deliver (or ship) wine to consumers within the county, within the city, or within two miles of the city limits. However, not all package stores and wine only package stores offer this service.

NOTE: If A Business Has Recently Stopped Shipping Wine To You, It May Be Because They Don't Hold A Permit That Authorizes Shipments.

If there is a particular wine that you are interested in purchasing from a Texas winery or a retailer in your area, you can look on our on-line label approval database to find out if it has been approved for sale in Texas. Wines available from Out-of-State Winery Direct Shippers are not necessarily listed in this database.

For further information on shipping to Texans see Licensing Bulletin 001 "Shipping, Delivery and Transportation of Wine" and Wine Shipments. The links summarize the statutory authority of various TABC license and permit types to ship or deliver wine to the ultimate consumer.

As another poster suggested...you can probably find the one you like in your state that is less expensive.
