ExpoTV Users Stop In....

What do you mean you can't resubmit in the same month? I had some that they said were cut off, so I resubmitted and they accepted them. Was I not supposed to do that.

.

That is what you are supposed to do. What I mean is that because they are so behind, our approvals/rejections won't come until November which means if we resubmit, it will count towards November. And who knows if those videos will be worth as much in November.

I did the same thing with the makeup for my first reviews! But since I used my old webcam, they were all rejected for poor quality. I haven't had the guts to try it again with my good camera... cause then you'd really see how much I need the makeup. :lmao:

Too funny! I guess we think alike.:thumbsup2

I just logged into the website and they upped October to 75 reviews. Guess I have 15 more to do.

I had 6 rejected in October - does that count toward the # I can submit, or can I have 75 videos that were approved?

I just wanted to share a story that happened a few days ago. I was uploading my videos to Expo and saw an inappropriate advertisement pop up, so I emailed expo about it. I was surprised to receive an email reply from the president of expotv himself!! He told me that they contract out thier advertising and that it would be removed asap. I was so impressed with the response and speedy actions!! :goodvibes

I have noticed that expotv seems to be running faster and turn around time to approve videos seems to be lightening fast!! Several times over the past few weeks, while I'm still uploading they have already approved the previous one I uploaded!!

This has been such a blessing!! Thank you OP for posting this thread!!:cheer2:

BTW - for anyone who goes to look at my videos thanks in advance - ALSO take a look at the AWFUL clip they used for me while I was doing my degree deodorant review - terrible I tell ya... hopefully it'll get me more views.. LOL.. It's pretty crummy...

I've also noticed that the videos are VERY quick to get approved.. I usually upload them at night before I go to bed, and when I wake up in the morning.. they're approved!!

Last thing - does anyone know of a way to upload the videos faster?? Mine seem to take F O R E V E R! :thumbsup2

I've noticed they don't always pick the most flattering still of us for the review picture. I've considered doing a closeup shot of the product in each review in hopes they choose that instead of me.

Ok I take the cake now on the worst video still. Look at my review of Delta Farce! Look in the background, they had to take the still of the part of the movie with the blow up doll!!!

Hi Ladysunflr, They sure did a number on you. I always picture the reviewers sitting there cackling like witches when they select the most unflattering poses of us.

it's terrible I tell ya.. just terrible.. I actually started doing some crazy faces in the videos just for ha ha's - like the one in my sip a bowl review - its pretty terrible... hahaha.... :cool1:

I watched your sip a bowl review. I liked the way you demonstrated the sip:rotfl2:

I might do one on my sip a bowl, too. I hadn't even thought about it until I saw yours.

LOL - I started to "cheese it up" on some of the reviews because people at my work started watching them, and they like when I act silly.. so I figure it'll get me more pennies in the long run - and boy do they ADD UP!!! :woohoo: I haven't started making decembers yet, but I figure I'll do more $5 products (nov was my first month) because I'd like to stay under the 600 limit so I don't have to pay taxes and stuff... and then do tons of videos next year.. It's AMAZING what they have listed on their site... I don't think I've found ANYTHING in my house that's not listed.. the sip a bowl one was a surprise!! I was pleased... paid 99 cents for the bowl... got two dollars for the review - can't go wrong!!! I was surprised that they didn't use me sipping out of the bowl for the main shot of the item in my review.. LOL

Your December reviews won't be paid out until January, so they will count as 2008 income. No worries about 2007 additional income so review away! ( I was watching my reviews for November to stay under $600 since I was close anyway, and would only have gone over $30 or so, not worth it!)

ahhhh... well that's cool... do you know what the tax stuff looks like? Like, should I put a certain percentage away to save for the tax man next year???

I will probably put away a third.

Oh I think you need to get off the Dis and go out and buy some fast food to review!:rotfl2:

I would if my boyfriend wasn't sleeping on me ( literally ) right now... I live in CT and he lives in NJ so I go through withdrawl when I'm here cuz i don't do videos... hmm... maybe I should do some of the sharedreviews.. hmmm :thumbsup2

hey, while i'm here... question... is there a link on expotv to find out what all the icons mean?? I was a creator and since I hit 100 videos, I'm now "silver" woooowooooo.... i've seen other icons for being a super referrer.. and others... I want to know how to get the icons ( yes, i am physically thirty but am feeling 10 right now ) LOL... :rotfl2:

I don't know, I've never noticed the icons before now I'll have to check those out. :) Yes good idea on the shared reviews, I did some of those this morning while I was still in my pj's. :) I like to do book reviews on there. I've got a lot done on there and expo this weekend, dd and dh are in WDW.

i'm doing my first as we speak in one window.... keeping on top of the budget board in another.. watching your reviews in another ( i'm on 101 dalmations and going backwards... ) and IMing on AOL in another window, and praying that my bf doesn't drool on me or knock out my internet connection on my laptop... multitasking at it's finest I tell ya. Enjoy the pennnies!!
ps - I'm sad you're not in disney with your hubby and child!!!
