Hi all - I posted this in the official W&D thread, but thought maybe others with RunDisney experience could help too.

My flight lands on November 9th (day before W&D) at 2:45pm. We are taking DME to AKL and immediately after checking in, I had planned to hop on an event bus to the expo.

We also have 6:15pm ADRs back at Boma that evening, so what are the odds that I can get to the resort, check in, get to the expo, get my bib and packet, and get back to the resort in time? I'm not big on browsing or shopping at event expos, so it's really only the timing of crowds and waiting for buses that I am concerned about. Expo closes at 7pm that night, but later ADRs for dinner don't really work because my kids are young (3 and 6).

Heading to the expo on the morning of the 10th isn't really going to work either since it only opens at 9am and we have 9:35am ADRs for Chef Mickey, and we were hoping to head straight to AK after that to see a few shows in the afternoon before I need to go back and prep for the race.

Any thoughts on whether or not I will have enough time on the 9th to get to the expo and back in time for dinner at 6:15pm? Thanks for your help!

You're going to be cutting it close.

Flight lands at 2:45

Assume that it will take you 15 minutes to get through the airport, so you're at DME check-in at 3PM

The average to get to the resort from DME check-in is 90 minutes. You're arriving at your hotel at 4:30.

Get to the hotel- do you have two adults going? Send the kids off with the other adult to check in ad hop the bus to the WWOS. Figure you'll probably be waiting for 10-15 minutes for a bus, and then another 15 minute bus ride. You're arriving at WWOS at 5:00.

It's going to take an hour to get through the expo- it's ALWAYS crowded, even if you don't want to shop. Make sure you have your waiver printed already, that will save you a few minutes.

Back out front- its now 6:00 PM. Waiting 15 minutes for the bus, and another 15 minute bus ride- puts you there at 6:30.

My suggestion would be to have your family show up at the ADR, sign in, and then if they get called before you arrive, have them take a table and join them as soon as you get back.

If money is no object and Dinner at Boma is exceptionally important, I'd suggest taking out a 1 day car rental from National or Alamo- which you can return to the car care center on Disney property. Without coupon codes it will probably run you between 80-110
