Explosions at the finish-line of the Boston Marathon

it was just reported that there were explosions at the finish line of the boston marathon i just hope none of our fellow runners were hurt ot anyone else for that matter... but the reports say lots of innjuries..

I have some friends running it today and a lot of casual acquaintances from the local running community.

I'm really hoping it was some sort of accident and not deliberate and I hope everyone's friends and family here who are running or spectating today are safe.

It's hard to watch, especially when they show the live scene w/ Boylston so empty right now when the sidewalks should be packed wall to wall and runners crossing the finish line. Just complete shock right now ~ b/w going out there to watch the race and walking around downtown visiting my sister and going into that running store so many times, you can't put it into words.

This just sickens me. So hard to believe that anyone would do this. I hope everyone is ok and that all the injured heal quickly. So horrible that a day of joy and personal triumph has turned sour this way.

I am sitting here in shock with a total loss for words. All I can do is pray over and over that nobody is seriously hurt. :0( so scared for everyone there.

That is more likely unfortunately and I've seen some reports now about other devices but I'm going to wait and see. Look at how mis-reported the Sandy Hook thing was for days.

Regardless, it is tragic no matter what and I hope everyone who knows people there gets good news.

If we did our math right he should have been about a mile away from the finish when the bombs went off.
