Heartbroken.
Someone on a Facebook running group had a great idea that all runners should wear a race shirt tomorrow in honor of the Boston Marathon victims and as a sign of unity. I'm in!
My fast friends are fine and accounted for. My slower friends are not. Last checkpoint was 35k. One projected to finish at 4:27 other projected to finish at 4:40. So hoping they were just stopped and evacuated from the course. Both times are too close to explosion time for my comfort

My friends are ok but her DH had his shoe blown off, his toes are damaged and the guy standing next to him lost both of his legs. They were obviously waiting at the finish line for their runners. So horrible.

I'm so sorry! This whole situation is so heartbreaking. I really don't understand why someone would do this...
A blogger I follow is running 4.09 miles tomorrow (the race time at explosion) in honor of the victims. I'm doing the same.
