Someone on a Facebook running group had a great idea that all runners should wear a race shirt tomorrow in honor of the Boston Marathon victims and as a sign of unity. I'm in!

Great idea April! I have suggested it on my FB page, perhaps if we all did, we could really get this going!

My heart breaks for all those injured or killed and their families, but for those who worked so hard and did not get to see their work come to fruition.

My fast friends are fine and accounted for. My slower friends are not. Last checkpoint was 35k. One projected to finish at 4:27 other projected to finish at 4:40. So hoping they were just stopped and evacuated from the course. Both times are too close to explosion time for my comfort.

My friends are ok but her DH had his shoe blown off, his toes are damaged and the guy standing next to him lost both of his legs. They were obviously waiting at the finish line for their runners. So horrible.

Homage.com has an awesome t-shirt that has Boston colors yellow/blue that says Run Like Hell. I bought it ironically about 30 minutes before everything happened today. The shirt has an awesome Boston marathon story behind it, make sure you read it... I will be wearing mine for the Eugene Half in 2 weeks. Thoughts and prayers from Oregon.

I was absolutely devastated to hear about it this morning (Aus time). There are so many levels of sadness... for those who were injured or killed and their families, those who witnessed the event, those who didn't get to finish, and those who had such a massive achievement who will never get to celebrate or want to think about that day again All of them will be in my thoughts.

I'm running 5 miles tomorrow but I definitely will be thinking of every person who was injured or unfortunately died during this horrible tragedy. My thoughts are with them all.

The weather is so bad here I am probably not going to be able to be even able to get out of apartment tomorrow forget run 5 miles. I am going to have to do it on Saturday since this storm is expected to last all the way until Thursday. Which is frustrating because I am really itching to go for a run. Will wear a race shirt at least for the next couple of days.

Apparently no one informed Mother Nature that it is April and we do not normally get a foot of snow in the middle of April.
