Explanation Needed Re Lanyards.

Hi, We have just a few weeks to go before leaving for our first time cruise. I read a while back in a thread that a lanyard would be needed. Can anyone explain to me why? Do i need to run out a get, if so where is the best place to buy them.

They are nice, but not necessary. You can get them at walmart in the purse area for around $1. They go around your neck and there is a plastic see through envelope at the bottem which can hold your kttw card. Makes it easy when you are at the pool, etc. We used ours a couple times. At night, hubby just put our kttw cards in his pants pocket.

They would be especially good for kids, so they don't lose their kttw cards.

We bought them & never wore them. We put the KTTW cards in one of them & put it in the beach bag, didnt like having it hanging on my neck.

yes you can get them much cheeper at home but getting the ones from DCL will be about the least expensive souveneer that you can purchase. We waited untill we got onboard (and had to wait until evening after we had left - the stores don't open until you leave the port area).

The DCL ones will run you about $6 each.

When flying and having to go through security 4 billion times, I like using the lanyard because I have lost stuff out of my billfold getting it out, puting it back, getting it out again, people in a hurry, me forgetting. By keeping my Drivers License in the lanyard, all I have to keep track of is my ticket!! And nothing needs to go in and out of my pockets.

We took and used our lanyards all day...everyday. They worked great...and we knew right where our KTTW cards were at all times.

I only had lanyards for the kids. They are notorious for losing stuff. I just kept my kttw card in my pocket and that worked fine.

I picked mine up at Target for $1.

We are going on our first family trip (land/sea) to WDW (DH and I were there 20 years ago) but have been to Disneyland many times. We also use the lanyards to hold/wear all our pins for pin trading. The CMs wear theirs the same way so it is easy to see what pins you are interested in. Hopefully it is the same at WDW/DCL.
