EXPIRED: Part ONE of 2015 CLUB LEVEL (CL) INFORMATION and HELP Thread DO NOT POST HERE!!!

We have stayed CL level several times but this is the first year that I have had them make my dining reservations. It will be so much easier to let them do it but I am worried we may not get our requests. For those of you who let them do your reservations, how has it gone? Any problems? Thanks!

Had IPO do my ADRs a few weeks ago and got everything I asked for! It was nice not to be up at the crack of dawn to make them all. Now granted I didn't want anything too hard like BOG ;-)

Hello CL family :wave2:

How are you?

Would like your thoughts on something :listen:

We're currently booked for a split stay BWI CL & GF RPC :cool1: shared pictures with DH and he's not wowed with the food offerings at BWI CL :faint:

Our first and only CL stay was at AKL earlier this year and DH loved everything about the CL food offerings

What are your thoughts regarding the food offerings at BWI CL? Do they compare to the GF RPC? Will we be disappointed going from RPC to BWI CL? :confused3

Our other options are:

1. Contemporary Standard Atrium CL
2. Stay at RPC for the entire time
3. Wilderness Lodge CL

Thanks much for your input ::yes::

We have only done poly, cr and gf's CL's. Out of those 3 for food gf is far superior. There is just more out at all times of the day. I am especially fond of tea time:cloud9:

Cr and poly have better views from their lounge so I alternate based on who I am with and time of year.

Most say CM's at BWI are friendly but the food compared to gf just isn't as good. Many like AKL and WL for food after gf.

I would not go FROM RPC to anywhere. If do a split start somewhere then move to RPC.

Really all are good so I don't feel too bad for the decision you have to make lucky lady;)

We've never stayed at BWI (or CR) so I can't comment on either of those CLs, but I loved GF RPC and WL CL. RPC is my favorite, but WL CL runs a very close second for me. If it's doable, I'd stay GF RPC the whole time or I'd start with BWI CL and end with GF RPC. I have read a lot of good things about BWI CL, but RPC is amazing, IMO. The lounge is spacious with plenty of seating, the food offerings are great, the CL CMs are wonderful, and the views from the lounge are beautiful. Plus there's just something special about staying in the main building at the GF.

Hi trishadono :wave2:

Thanks much for responding :thumbsup2

I hear ya... shared with DH that no matter where we stay, being able to experience CL is a blessing ::yes:: might just stay put and if anything, switch RPC to the 2nd week... we have a lot of resort time planned this trip, so CL will weigh more heavily this time around... thanks again for responding :flower3:

Yep...think we might switch RPC to the 2nd week :thumbsup2

All booked for 11 days at WL CL courtyard, and then 3 days at GF RP CL deluxe king. I requested the turret room at GF since it seems the room is quite a bit bigger than the deluxe king with a rectangular room although turret has no balcony. Of course will have to see what room we get and I'm sure either will be fabulous. I'm honestly just happy to be going on this amazing vacation at both resorts this November with my husband : )

I am relieved to read this. I was only able to book a SV YC CL room and we've never booked SV before so I was concerned. I know the GV rooms are only a few $ more, but one never became available. In fact, this is the first trip I recall that anytime I look online for rooms, just to get an idea of occupancy levels for our dates (6/22 - 7/3), every single Deluxe room is booked! So between the SV (just for 3 days) and 100% occupancy, I was getting concerned.

I posted newly rehabbed BWI lounge and room photos on Thursday to the BWI/BWV thread that's hyperlinked in my signature. I also posted a couple new hall carpeting photos yesterday. Not to ruin the surprise, but not much at all was done to the lounge. In fact, they didn't even get a fridge:sad2:

I always tell people that it never hurts to do OCI and it can be fun doing something proactive related to your trip, but when adding any room location requests, the choices can be very limited and pre-set.

Always make sure that if you have any room location requests, you either have them added to your reservation by calling or emailing the IPO and/or the WDTC - I do both. The Room Assignor sees all requests - IPO/WDTC and OCI. OCI really just adds your credit card information to your reservation so that you don't have to present it at check-in.

Thanks Kook for the info. I didn't do on line check in my prior 2 CL trips, but will try it for this one. I always felt since you get personal check in at CL it wasn't necessary.

RPC for two weeks would be fine, but one nice thing about going over to the BWI for a split stay would be the change in location! 2 weeks is a long time to stay in one resort looking at the same view, the same pool, the same resort, etc. The bus to the Studios from the GF gets frustrating after a while too. If you move over to the BWI you'll have the opportunity to be super close to Epcot and the Studios. ::yes:: We love the Epcot resort area. :) Tell your DH not to base his vacation around lounge snacks, that's silly, tell him you guys can walk over to Epcot and have all the food he could possibly want! Make some nice ADRs in the World Showcase, plan an Illuminations fireworks cruise, spend time walking the boardwalk, etc. Splitting up the trip into a week at each resort is going to feel like two vacations in one! The best of both worlds!!! :goodvibes I would never base a decision off CL food offerings alone. Chances are you won't even be around for them every evening anyway. You'll want to have some nice dinners!

Hi All!

I just booked a stay at Grand Floridian RPC for the end of September!! EEK! So Excited!! (We are doing a split stay with BWI and GF!!!!!)

We booked a Standard Room (as that was all that was available), and just wondering if we should request a specific room type? (There are 5 of us, so we need a room for 5) We would LOVE to have some type of water view...pool, Seven Seas Lagoon, etc?

Are there links to any room pics?

TIA!

I stayed RPC and had a perfect room :cloud9: my request was 4th floor close to lounge - I had a room located 4th floor opposite the lounge with a view of the lagoon/pool/villas/monorail - it couldn't have been any more perfect.

My favorite RPC room view is like the one the pp had. We were on the 3rd floor opposite the lounge and I loved sitting on the balcony looking out past the beach pool toward the Poly (although now with the GF villas, the Poly probably isn't in clear view anymore :().

Congratulations! You can't book a WL-CL view (nor a CL bunk room for that matter). WL CL views (and bunks) are by-request only (except for the two suites that overlook the WL CY), but the Room Assignor will do their best to fulfill your request. If you want to overlook the WL CY, make sure you email the IPO to have your request state "WL or INNER CYV" so that you don't end up possibly overlooking the VWL CY area instead.

I sent my request in and hoping for it and got a reply back that they added my request to my reservation but all their rooms have great views, probably the standard reply. Good to to know about possibly overlooking the vacation area not sure I'd want that, I did add I wanted a view of bay lake ... Guess I'll see? I may wait until it's closer to our trip and add inner courtyard.

Thanks!!

Hi Erika :wave2:

Thanks much for responding :flower3:

I had a vacation heart to heart with DH :chat: so hopefully he can move past this and just enjoy being there... I'm sure he'll be able to... it's the waiting that's getting to him :lmao:

I would love to stay 2 weeks in one place.. Simply because I would like getting to know the CM's, the view.. That all would all be pluses for me

Hi DisneyDmbNut :wave2:

That's exactly what DH said :lmao:

I dunno... split stay vs. staying put?!? :confused3

Either way, I'll just be glad to be on vacation :goodvibes

We decided to stay put sort of :goodvibes. Our split is all at GF. Between SL & regular outer building for 2 weeks.
