EXPIRED: Part ONE of 2015 CLUB LEVEL (CL) INFORMATION and HELP Thread DO NOT POST HERE!!!

Hi gang,

Just dreaming a little this morning and decided that I would love to try all the CLs at least once. Based on your experiences, are there resorts you like better at different times of year.

Thanks so much!:cool1:

I would love to try WL at Christmas time. I want to sit by that huge fireplace in the lobby.

Just as confirmation (because CM told me otherwise) YC CL does not hold 5, right? When I was looking, it shows as not available for my party size, but the CM I booked GF SL with said it did! Anyone know for sure?

I'm pretty sure it depends on the YC CL room type (SV, GV or LV). We've stayed in a couple of CL LV rooms with a two queens and a daybed that would have slept 5. I'm not 100% certain, but I don't think the CL GV room we were in had a daybed, so it would have not have slept 5. We also stayed in a GF SL room that would not have slept 5 (at least not without a roll-away, if even allowed).

As the pp said, I think some rooms do and some don't. I got the following from the BC/YC FAQ:

Room Categories

Standard View= can sleep 5+
Garden/Courtyard View= can sleep 5+
Water or Pool View= can sleep 5+

Standard View Club Level= can sleep 5+
Garden/Courtyard View Club Level=
Lagoon View Club Level= can sleep 4+

Here is the link to the page with that information:

Scroll down about half way for room categories.

HTH :)

My family and I have done concierge through the Disney Cruise line and we will not travel any other way since then. We have never tried club level or concierge at the regular Disney resorts. What are some of the benefits and as a first-time club level greenhorn what is the best place for us to try to get the full experience? Thanks for any help with this.

I would stick with the CL on the cruise line....Don't expect the same level of care or gratitude at the parks. The concierge host do not care about your cares, concerns. I would do the CL on the ships, save some bucks and get a regular room at Disney.

I am not sure I would make such a blanket statement based on one bad experience with one resort's CL...?

We've stayed CR during MNSSHP and BC during F&W. AKL anytime. CR is my favorite CL, BC my least. We're trying YC this time only for the pool and I hope that ends up being better than BC (lounge too small and too much fried food - read the lounge is bigger but food the same so we'll see).

Which ones do you still need to hit?

Wow! ---quite an opinion! I'm sure you'll also hear from LOTS of guests who have stayed club level and enjoyed every second of their experience as well, though. Like, me and my family. Stayed CL at BC and thought the service from CM excellent, and the food offerings delicious and drinks were good as well. Lounge and balcony enjoyable as well. We liked it enough to book GF CL later this summer. Have heard that they have one of the most extensive spreads of food and drinks CL, including champagne. Ok, technically sparkling wine from CA, but sounds delicious, Mumm Cuvée, I think. Service I have received pre trip from IPO has been very good so far. I'm very much looking forward to our CL stay there. If all CL stays were horrible, people would not be booking them over and over again.

I like the WL during the winter months/Christmas time and the Poly & GF during the spring/summer months.

We have only tried 3 Disney resort clubs, but I have found all of the CMs to be very attentive and caring about the guests. I've never stayed concierge on a ship (and have never taken a DCL cruise) so I can't compare the service to the resorts, but we have had great service at the 3 resort CLs we've tried.

You don't say which CL you're staying at the GF, but having stayed both, I thought the food offerings were great (they are the same in both) and the CMs were attentive. I'm sure you'll have a great stay :goodvibes.

You can get 5 into a YC CL room. We are doing it this summer, but we could only book a standard view room when we did it. It may be that there are just no rooms left for 5 on the dates you want to go.

This is what I was thinking. Since there's probably only so many CL rooms that accommodate 5, it might be that all of them are sold out for your dates (or if just one night is booked during your stay, it will show no availability).

Oh wow!! Really about the sparkling wine? I might have to break my "no drinking when I'm with my kids" rule! LOL Do you request it by the glass or they have it out or what? I know when I was at the WL CL the wine was just out on the counter.. is it like that at GF? I will be in SL from Nov 12th to the 17th.

Think they'll look at me funny if I try to make a mimosa? LOL Although, that would probably be in bad taste if it's Mumm! We have visited their winery in CA three times! :)

YC CL can only be booked for 5 with SV. GV & LV are 4 max. As others have said, if it won't let you book 5 then there are no SV on CL available.

I have always found the CL CMs at all the resorts to be very caring and go out of their way to make our trip feel special and the best it can be. In fact, my problem after staying CL many times is that it's hard NOT to book CL again and again.

This may seem a little OT but I promise it is relevant! What things from England/the UK do you like that you can't easily get in the US?

People have mentioned about bringing little gifts for the cast members in the lounge as a thank you, and I really like this idea, but I'm stuck for ideas on what to bring!

GOOD shortbread biscuits! cadberry chocolate! yours is better than ours for some reason (higher concentration of cream?)

does anyone know offhand if there are any CONNECTING rooms at the BWI? We usually get a 2BR at the BC when my parents come with us but they are booked. I booked two standard CL rooms and dont care about views as much as I care about connecting rooms.

I'm sure adjoining wouldnt be that bad, I just like the idea of my kids being able to go back and forth

Brilliant - thanks! We'll grab some boxes of Cadbury Heroes which can be left in the break room for cast members to share.

I've been MIA all weekend, just crazy busy, but I wanted to come by and tell you guys about the 2 hours I spent on the phone with Disney this morning.

I will try to keep a long story short! ;)

While looking over our itinerary this morning we noticed that on one of the days of our upcoming trip (June 7th) all of our fastpasses were gone except my husband's. I went through each of our 9 days and this was the only day that was incorrect. I went back into the hard copies I printed out last month and I definitely had FPs made for all 4 of us. So I called Disney, requested MDE tech support. They confirmed what I saw, said not to worry it was probably a glitch and to please hold. So I'm on hold a long time and then the castmember comes back and says she had to go get help from backstage and could I please continue to hold. Ok sure. So she's gone again quite a long time and then comes back and says she was able to re-add the FPs back for the 3 of us. WHEW!!! :crazy2: So now everything is OK. Then she goes over with me the rest of my itinerary, reservations, dining, etc, just to make sure everything else is OK. I told her about another error I hadn't been able to fix on a previous call (one of my nephew's has two MDE accounts) and she says she can fix it if I can hold. Ok sure. So I'm on hold a long time... then she comes back with another castmember on the line who works with DVC folks with MDE tech support issues. Very interesting. So this guy I quickly can see really knows his stuff. And one thing I've learned over the years is if you find a castmember who knows more than you do it's your lucky day! He is able to take my nephew's two account and merge them, which is no easy task. Then he is able to fix another glitch with my brother-in-law's account and my oldest son's account. Then he goes through our itinerary and makes sure everything is OK. He congratulates me on doing such a good job friending and setting up 19 family member's accounts and making sure they are all linked correctly. :thumbsup2 I pat myself on the back too. :rotfl: He notices we are going to Harambe Nights and offers me a few tips about arrival. We discuss SWW and BOG ADRs. He also tells me that we can make our 4th fastpasses on the app and we don't have to go to a kiosk, which I didn't know. All in all it was a very helpful, informative, and worthwhile phone call! ::yes:: I love it when I actually accomplish something!!! :littleangel:

One thing I forgot to say.... It does make me VERY nervous when FPs just disappear. What if I hadn't noticed? Would that mean we would have been standing at the ride and our bands wouldn't have worked? That is such a hassle and a major inconvenience, I just hope nothing goes wrong again! :faint::worried:::yes:::scratchin

I am dubious on the 4th fast pass via the phone...no one else is stating this that I have read. Is this for the future or available now?
