EXPIRED: Part ONE of 2015 CLUB LEVEL (CL) INFORMATION and HELP Thread DO NOT POST HERE!!!

I've been MIA all weekend, just crazy busy, but I wanted to come by and tell you guys about the 2 hours I spent on the phone with Disney this morning.

I will try to keep a long story short! ;)

While looking over our itinerary this morning we noticed that on one of the days of our upcoming trip (June 7th) all of our fastpasses were gone except my husband's. I went through each of our 9 days and this was the only day that was incorrect. I went back into the hard copies I printed out last month and I definitely had FPs made for all 4 of us. So I called Disney, requested MDE tech support. They confirmed what I saw, said not to worry it was probably a glitch and to please hold. So I'm on hold a long time and then the castmember comes back and says she had to go get help from backstage and could I please continue to hold. Ok sure. So she's gone again quite a long time and then comes back and says she was able to re-add the FPs back for the 3 of us. WHEW!!! :crazy2: So now everything is OK. Then she goes over with me the rest of my itinerary, reservations, dining, etc, just to make sure everything else is OK. I told her about another error I hadn't been able to fix on a previous call (one of my nephew's has two MDE accounts) and she says she can fix it if I can hold. Ok sure. So I'm on hold a long time... then she comes back with another castmember on the line who works with DVC folks with MDE tech support issues. Very interesting. So this guy I quickly can see really knows his stuff. And one thing I've learned over the years is if you find a castmember who knows more than you do it's your lucky day! He is able to take my nephew's two account and merge them, which is no easy task. Then he is able to fix another glitch with my brother-in-law's account and my oldest son's account. Then he goes through our itinerary and makes sure everything is OK. He congratulates me on doing such a good job friending and setting up 19 family member's accounts and making sure they are all linked correctly. :thumbsup2 I pat myself on the back too. :rotfl: He notices we are going to Harambe Nights and offers me a few tips about arrival. We discuss SWW and BOG ADRs. He also tells me that we can make our 4th fastpasses on the app and we don't have to go to a kiosk, which I didn't know. All in all it was a very helpful, informative, and worthwhile phone call! ::yes:: I love it when I actually accomplish something!!! :littleangel:

really weird. the same thing happened to us including our dining too and its the same date june 7th. I hadent called yet because i figured it was a glitch. maybe i should. oops!
 
I am dubious on the 4th fast pass via the phone...no one else is stating this that I have read. Is this for the future or available now?

It's available now. The TA newsletter specifically stated you could only get a 4th fastpass from a kiosk so that is what I told my in-laws to do last week. It wasn't until today I've heard someone say you could book a 4th FP on the app. I will definitely try that when we go. I also asked the CM about FP being held back. He said they definitely hold back a certain percentage of FPs for the later hours of the day so day guests and people wanting 4th FPs can still have a chance for popular rides. I will have to see this to believe it. ::yes::
 
Another topic we discussed at length was magic bands. He said I had 3 pending MB orders. I told him I was planning to just ignore them because we already had plenty of bands and I didn't want any more. He said the battery inside them will only last about 9 months. :worried: Which I hadn't thought of. Then he asks why I haven't ordered the annual passholder bands for the kids, I tell him they just got AP bands in March and I was hoping they could use those. He then tells me that because I recently renewed their bands (they were due to expire this month) I would still need to go in and order them another set because they would need the updated discount card that comes with the bands. :crazy2: I told him that I'm really starting to lose it... because the kids haven't even used their new AP bands yet!! :scared: So now I have 3 more sets of bands coming... for AKL, YC, and the boys APs. I don't want all these bands!!!! But the truth is I haven't been keeping track of which bands we currently have are associated with which trip and the batteries could die since some of ours are from last year. So I need to stop using those. :sad: We have 32 bands and more coming. It has to end!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :badpc::badpc::badpc::badpc::badpc:

3 things

first, did you notice your FP disappear on the app or online, or both? I have a theory that the app glitches and they disappear but are still there online but have never asked those who lost them where they looked

second, what news did you get about Harambe Nights? Can you share? :)

third, I wonder if the ability to add 4th FP has always been there but no one tried since they said you had to do it at a kiosk. Or have folks tried and failed?

We first noticed on the app, so I logged on my computer and they were also missing there as well. I checked under "reservations" tabs and also went into the "my plans" tab. Missing in all locations. That's why I decided to call.

He didn't have much to add that I hadn't already read on the DIS. He wanted to make sure I was aware of the transportation available, and that we could arrive early and enter the park with the Harambe ticket itself. He said they are going to have separate entrances setup specifically for people entering with Harambe tickets. He said to look for "My Magic +" entrance signs and booths. Not sure what that means??? :scratchin I told him we have APs anyway so I got the feeling he was speaking more to people entering the park without another form of ticket. I haven't completely decided what time to go but I was thinking maybe around 6:00. That's the bad part about being the first weekend. But everyone else can learn from our mistakes! :lmao:

Makes one wonder if Disney has stock in the company that makes their Magic Bands.

I have an RFID card that is a number generator for our bank software at work. Those RFID cards last 3 years. So it is possible for them to use technology that lasts longer than 9 months. And those number generators are constantly on so you'd have to think that is more taxing on a battery of something just sitting there

I think we'll go on and get in about 4:00 or so and try to hit up a few of the regular attractions, letting us cut our other AK day shorter, hoping to get out of the heat earlier than originally thought

This is the most flustered I have ever felt about an upcoming WDW trip. The issues with the missing fastpasses, and the extra unwanted magic bands, on top of not being able to get the Star Wars fastpasses for the stage shows or the Feel the Force reservations for parade and fireworks viewing, I just feel stressed out. :worried: Even though I'm on these boards every single day I still can't keep up with it all. :(

I understand what you are talking about. As moms we think we have to have the perfect trip planned with all the extras. I know it won't mean much coming from me but you are going to have a great trip. Now deep breaths and try to relax.:goodvibes
 
We like the monorail resorts (right now we're partial to the Poly) during the July 4 holiday because they change Wishes to a special July 4 presentation and we think it's spectacular. Last year, it went on most nights of the July 4 week. We really, really looked forward to being in our room on our patio watching this show each night! So much so that we have booked TPV again for this year during the July 4 week:thumbsup2.

That is an excellent idea about TPV at Poly for July 4th! I will keep that in my dreaming mind...lol:cool1:

I would love to try WL at Christmas time. I want to sit by that huge fireplace in the lobby.

We've stayed CR during MNSSHP and BC during F&W. AKL anytime. CR is my favorite CL, BC my least. We're trying YC this time only for the pool and I hope that ends up being better than BC (lounge too small and too much fried food - read the lounge is bigger but food the same so we'll see).

Which ones do you still need to hit?

Thanks!:cool1: We are really new to the WDW game! We have only been 3 times...:scared1: And I am now obsessed.... So we have stayed at YC CL and BC CL and loved both of them. I believe I am staying BW CL for the Princess Half marathon in Feb. So I still would love to try Poly, GF, CR, AK and WL. I am really hoping to try CR with a mommy/daughter trip so we can be at MK easily. My DD is out the month of Jan so that might be when we try that.:cool1:

I like the WL during the winter months/Christmas time and the Poly & GF during the spring/summer months.

We were there that Monday at the end of April when they started the you can add the 4th FP after you used your other 3. At that time you had to use the kiosks for it. A CM did tell me though that cell ability was coming soon.:cool1:

You are going to be fine!!!! When do you leave again? Just think how much you know your way around HS. I bet you can find an ever better part to sit and watch. Print out your itinerary and go through it slowly. I am positive you have it extremely organized. Your birthday boy will have fun regardless!!!:woohoo::woohoo:

We leave May 31st for 9 nights. 5 at AKL CL and 4 at YC CL. We will actually hit two Star Wars weekends! I know it will be great, but super crazy crowds make me really nervous. We were trampled last year trying to see the parade, I don't want his birthday to end in blood shed!! LOL

Yes, you would need 2 rooms, unless you booked a deluxe CL room, which accommodates 6. We've never stayed in one as there are only 4 of us so a standard room works, but the deluxe rooms do look nice ;).
 
We leave May 31st for 9 nights. 5 at AKL CL and 4 at YC CL. We will actually hit two Star Wars weekends! I know it will be great, but super crazy crowds make me really nervous. We were there in March and have one set of MB's but they are gray and so I ordered a colored set for our stay next week. I didn't know they don't last long. So for every stay we should order MBs to make sure the batteries work?

I am not sure why but they keep sending them. I am not sure if you don't choose your colors if they will get mailed to you as grey. I haven't asked for them, they just show up automatically in my ME account.

We're starting a collection, too. The last trip my wife intentionally didn't set them up figuring we had our old ones, and they had the gray ones waiting at the resort for us. And the gray ones were all messed up. But our originalls (which my wife linked our APs to, all the FP+s, etc), worked perfectly fine!!
 
Just as an FYI, if you don't want all of the bands, if you don't confirm your shipping address and don't customize the bands, they will not ship any bands to you (not even plain gray ones). We have been eligible thus far to receive 13 sets of bands since the end of August. Because we always resort hop, we only customize one set of bands per trip for the first resort and leave the remaining bands untouched in MDE so that they don't ship.
