The only thing that I wish I did differently was move the hotels in a better order for more convenience with moving (like MK hotels all together, Epcot hotels all together). I'm usually better with that, but the way things worked out with availability and me changing things (because I have a hard time settling on a plan, obviously), it is where it is, and I can't change anything at this point. :) I love that we have CL at the beginning, middle and end of the vacation, but it's been interesting deciding if I should do any groceries for our non CL days to cover breakfast and drinks and a little bit of snacks. I just think it will be too much of a hassle to move anything other than luggage, so we'll probably just suck it up and deal with the expense. :)

I would want the minimum amount of bags and stuff, so I wouldn't mess with groceries.

Agreed. We will probably only pack 2 large suitcases and one carry on to keep the tipping with bell service down since we will have a lot of bellman to tip! LOL!

You would NOT want to see our luggage. We take 4 large suitcases, a carrybag of toiletries, my laptop bag and purse, dh's work bag, and the kids backpack. Yep that's 9 bags! :lmao: And it's always 9 every time. When we get to the airport I make everyone count off 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 .... and then we do that every time we interact with our luggage at the airport shuttle, checking bags, baggage claim, taxi rides, in the resort, claiming from bell services, I annoy my family big time. ::yes:::hyper::rolleyes1

Wow! How many are in your family? And how many days are you packing for? DH always thinks we pack too much! :-) however, no work allowed this trip! Thankfully I won't have to bring my laptop. My purse does end up being bigger than usual though for Disney trips so I can stash all sorts of stuff in it like a couple pull-ups for DD, autograph book, pocket size plans. ;-) I can't imagine moving 9 bags! (Of course we have a 7 year old and a 3 year old so they're not moving a whole bunch themselves).

Just 4 of us, one suitcase for each. I stopped packing the boys clothes together now that they're teenagers and wearing the same size. It just got too confusing trying to keep things separated. The extra room in their suitcases goes for our fans, we absolutely can't sleep a minute without them. Plus I like to have extra room for shopping. :rolleyes1 I have an obsessive disney shopping disorder. ;)

We usually end up with 2 large suitcases or a large and medium one that are checked, plus a backpack or two for the kids, and my purse, and a carry on with a change of clothes for each of us...I guess that's 6... Lol

Thanks for the feedback. I have taught my kids manners and will go over all the rules again, so hopefully they will behave themselves. I will give the staff permission to kick them out if they do not listen. ;) (usually the idea of getting in trouble is enough to keep them in line.) I think they will enjoy the little bit of freedom.:littleangel:

I wouldn't worry, they will be fine :thumbsup2. LOL on giving the staff permission to kick them out if they don't listen :rotfl::rotfl:.

This was our first time staying club level. We love the Polynesian to pieces, and staying club level made us love it even more. I don't think we will ever go back to staying regular garden view at the Polynesian. It will forever be club level from here on out. The cast members were amazing and friendly, the snack/food selection throughout the day was fantastic and let's not forget the desserts at night! We had many breakfast reservations booked that we ended up cancelling because we loved to have breakfast at the lounge.

The construction did not bother us at all, and in fact watching Wishes and the Electrical Water Pagent from the lounge was a spectacular experience. I would recommend the Polynesian club level to anyone. i think we are head over heels in love!

We were thinking about switching hotels after hearing about the construction, but we are so glad we did not.

I totally understand about the Poly. The Poly is our favorite resort and I'm afraid once we try CL that will be it for us as well . We just love everything about the resort and with all of the great things I've read about CL, I'm sure we will just love it that much more :wizard:. I have to say that the construction wouldn't bother us either as there's so much to love about the resort, that it wouldn't hinder our stay at all.

Question for food offerings....

Do they post anywhere the offering menu for an entire week somewhere in the concierge lounges... Thought I saw a post on here from Wilderness with a list for there week they stood. As this would be helpful in case we decide to change our dinner to a later one if the offering are to our liking. We are picky eaters and the nights we don't want to partake we can change our ressie to an earlier dinner... Thank you...

There's no official menu provided by Disney but people here on the DIS have typed up menus based on what they've had at the various club levels on property. :thumbsup2 It follows fairly close to what you'll see, but I wouldn't strictly rely on it.

That is probably what I saw.... I am going to ask m IPO person and also ask when we get there if it's possible to get a list of the offerings of the week I am there. I realize It may be when we actually arrive but they can always change some of my dinner ressie up for later times... As long as its later then 24hrs as there is now a 10 dollar sur-charge for missed ressies... Thanks :thumbsup2

So we finally settled on 2 nights YC CL and one night Poly CL since it was the same price as a standard room at the GF. I still hope that the third night at the YC opens up (the hotel is 100% booked--no availability in any room category!), but if not, we're happy to be headed back to the Poly for a night, even with the construction. :) Our last night in March at the Poly wasn't that great--I was sick and the weather was miserable, so we didn't really enjoy the resort that much, so we're excited to head back hopefully with better weather and a healthy family!

CL menus are available at the CL desk. Due to possible food allergies, each CL has a binder with menus and ingredient listings. Menus are no longer publicly posted in the lounges, but you can ask a CL CM to view the "menu/ingredient binder." The photos I've posted here and in the WL thread's CL section are from the binder. The menus are generally the same each week, with minor seasonal tweaking.

Is there a way to get that in advance? I mean, I realize it can't be too far in advance, but at least early enough to arrange some ADRs around it? :)

I don't believe so. The IPO CMs work at a separate location from the CL where the menus are located. For example, the WL IPO CMs work at an office in the Poly and the CR IPO CMs work at the GF. However, the AKL IPO CMs actually work at AKL, so they might have access, especially Don.

Hi KOOK :wave2:.

I never knew this about the menus, but it's good to know. Thanks for the info :goodvibes.

Hope all is well with you and your sons. I'm assuming ALL the CL desks have the menu binder, but I don't know 100% that they all do.

It will! HA!

I stayed CL only once at WDW and it was Poly...and O. M. G. granted it was YEARS ago...but it was lovely! We got a CL Garden view, had a ground floor room that looked out onto the "quiet pool", we basically could walk out our door and into the pool...it was awesome! The lounge was fantastic!
