EXPIRED: Part ONE of 2015 CLUB LEVEL (CL) INFORMATION and HELP Thread DO NOT POST HERE!!!

Just noticed your post. I believe I already PM'd you the links to the CL portions of my threads so you're welcome to hyperlink to them. There are welcome letters I posted in them that you can use if you still need them.

Awesome, thanks! I need to go back into my PM's, I think I was in California and forgot to add them! ;)

Super excited - we just switched our reservation to GF SL for our 8 night vacation in July because of the summer discount! Super excited!!!

Quick question - where is the lounge located in the SL building? We have only stayed at Poly CL before so that's all we know about lounges - can you view Wishes from the SL lounge?

Hi everyone! Staying AKL CL for first time in October. So excited!!! Anyway. I've been reading the thread, but can't seem to find the answer. I'm sure it's there, but does the lc staff contact you or do you contact them? And when? My ADR date is in a few weeks and DH says let them book everything, but I'm so nervous to do so.

Typically you will get a welcome email if you have your correct email address linked to your account. But sometimes for one reason or another you won't get one. I would go ahead and just contact them yourself, especially since your 180 mark is soon. The email address and phone number for them should be listed on page 1. :) I know what you mean about being nervous, I like to make my own ADRs. But I'm a control freak. :thumbsup2 :goodvibes

Sugarloaf is the one building I don't have personal experience with. But I'm pretty sure the lounge is located in the lobby area, which having been in many of the other GF outer buildings is located in the central part of the building. Hopefully someone who has stayed there will come and help, but I'm fairly certain there's no view of MK or the fireworks from the lounge, or from anywhere else in that building. You would need to walk outside of Sugarloaf and either over to the front of the marina (Gasparilla's) or across the pool and over to the beach, or down towards the boat dock. Those 3 locations all offer fireworks views. :) Also the restaurant Narcoosee's down by the boat dock offers a great view. Don't forget you can also see the Electrical Water Pageant from the GF. :thumbsup2

We have stayed at SL. What you wrote is accurate so I will not repeat.

As TigrLvsPooh posted, the lounge is located in the lobby of the SL building right as you enter the building. Since it's in the center of the lobby and there are no windows, there are no views from the lounge.

Good morning CL lovers! :)

Just got this email today... thought the wording was interesting:

No mention of food at night, only cheese. Is this their way of deterring people who want to make meals in the lounge? Actually I'd be happy if they did go down to cheese only at night. Would make it easier to have a glass of wine and relax without having a huge crowd.

Thoughts???

First of all the 10 days make me very excited for you...:cool1::cool1:
Is that worded different than the ones you have seen in the past? :confused3
I wonder if you are right on with the let's not make this dinner theory.:)

We just stayed at BWI Cl and had hot app along with cheese and crackers and a cold salad or two. We have stayed at Cl at a couple of different places and 3 times at GF RPC but I was really shocked in 2004 after checking into the GF we were told that they would be serving cheese and wine from 5-7 pm. I asked what happened to the appetizers and why hadn't we been told earlier they just shrugged and said this was what they were serving. For the two weeks we were there they just sat out one plate of cheese and crackers and three bottles of wine. For the price we paid it was a big disappointment and we weren't the only ones that were disgusted. We haven't stayed there since.

For our BWI stay this year we received a similar ten day notice but it said a variety of hot appetizers and wines would be served and they were. Anybody else seen any changes in club level food offerings?

I don't how to take or post a screen shot, but we received the email Erika posted on February 10 for a February 20 arrival at BWI CL. The wording was just as it appears in Erika's - only mentioned cheese and wine - but then the actual food selection was the same as it has always been at BWI CL, including salads and appetizers. I'm with Erika - I would be happy with just wine and cheese. Our teen boys would feel differently!

The wording in Erika's message is pretty much what most of the Disney website has said for years. I don't think things have changed.
I'm looking forward to returning to BWI CL. It's just so relaxing! :goodvibes

Looking forward to reading your review of CR cl. I just booked the first 2 nights of my November trip at CR cl... I've read some good and bad, but I'm of the mindset that what works for me might not work for someone else... and vice versa, so I like to try things out myself... Looking forward to hearing what you have to say about cl @ CR!

All I really knew I wanted was one of the monorail resorts for the first 2 days and ultimately went with CR cl, but I'm starting to second guess myself and thinking maybe Poly... but that resort always screams outdated to me. I'm going to wait to hear what your thoughts are on CR before I make a move. Hurry up 10 days so Erika can give her review!!

Also thanks for the information on all things CL! I've stayed at AKL cl and YC cl previously, so looking forward to staying at another!

We just stayed CL at the CR, and had a fabulous stay. We also did a split stay at the Poly CL, and found the staff more friendly and more welcoming at the CR than the Poly.

Like you, I find the interiors of the Poly to be worn and eyesore-ish--and trust me, I wanted to love it. (The grounds of the resort, particularly at night, are great, though.) We thought the CR rooms looked very fresh and modern (though I'm not a huge fan of the actual resort as it feels to me like I'm staying in an office building).

FTR, we were given more than wine and cheese during the dinner hours.

Just got some pixie dust!!!! We have a split stay coming up. It was supposed to be 5 days POP 2 days Poly club level. Then, I decided to add an extra day to the Poly. I've been calling daily and checking online for over a month!!! Nothing!! Finally, the Disney travel agent said....no, I can get you in that date!!! Yay! I'm super excited. It's our first time staying club level.

Awesome! Thanks for the reassurance! I will most likely just stick with CR cl... It really fits in for the plan I'm working on.

I knew they hadn't changed the food, I just wondered if they had changed the wording to keep people from expecting a meal. But maybe it always says that. LOL
We had 3 CL stays last year, January at BWI CL, May at YC CL, and August Poly CL and they all offered 2 hot appetizers each night. As someone else said, it is more to the delight of my teenage sons. I can't eat all that stuff before dinner, it fills me up too much.
Speaking of dinner, I finalized our ADRs, after much changing and switching. We've settled on Be Our Guest, Narcoosee's, Ohana, Teppen Edo, Sci-fi, and Nine Dragons. I've got one night empty, my birthday. I couldn't find availability anywhere that would allow time for Wishes, which we've got FP+ for, so I'm not sure what we will eat that night. I really don't like eating early, we might just have to grab something quick. Maybe a dessert dinner at Main St Ice Cream Parlor!!!??? :lovestruc

I'm the one with the teenage sons (plus a hungry 7-year-old!) Love your ADR line-up. Nine Dragons is the one TS in Epcot that we have not yet tried - ever! Have you been there before? Tough call on the dinner before Wishes - we rarely eat before 7pm because we like to wait for all our boys to get home after activities and eat together - so that's what we do at WDW. What time is Wishes on the night of your birthday?

Yes, we love Nine Dragons! I don't recommend it for people on the dining plan, because the entrees aren't expensive enough to make it worthwhile. But since we are paying cash it's a good choice. :)

Right now I have a Wishes FP for my birthday. We did it once last year and LOVED the viewing area. I thought it was extra magical and special to sit comfortably on the grass to enjoy the show. I think I enjoyed Wishes more from that spot than anywhere else I've ever viewed the show. :) So that takes top birthday priority. :thumbsup2 Dinner might have to be counter service, unless we can figure out a way to squeeze something in before. We are late dinner people while at WDW. Most of my ADRs are between 7:00-9:00 PM. We have Narcoosee's the night after my actual b-day, so we could just call that my special dinner. :D
