Experiences with Chiroprators?

I have a ruptured disc in my lower back and see a chiropractor regularly. I LOVE my chiro...he is thoughtful, listens, and has done amazing things to my back :goodvibes I could barely stand up straight and now am able to function daily life with minimal to no pain. I wanted to avoid back surgery at all costs - just not keen on the whole "under the knife" experience. I was at 1st skeptical and very afraid of going - he's going to crack what :scared1: I was afraid of them causing more damage than good. The chiro I see is very qualified and takes extra care to make sure he is not causing more harm. He had me get MRI's and looked at my films before doing any "adjustments". He also referred me to a physical therapist to help me recover from the damage done to my back. While I know it is not for everyone, it has worked wonders for me!

As a word of advice....do not see a chiropractor unless you have discussed this with your PCP or orthopedic doctor. Some issues can be worsened by seeking chiropractic care and the chiro may not know this until it is too late and you are in worse shape that you started. Listen to what your chiro (and PT if applicable) as far as when to or not to exercise. Many times your are advised AGAINST muscle strengthening or stetching exercise.
