Do the AP holders get the lanyard and pin also?

Yes, they do.

I'm still keeping my fingers crossed that I can convince DH - have one free ticket on SWA, and with the AP rates back to normal, we could stay fairly reasonably! Wish me luck!

Oh, and we just happened to be there for the Soarin' preview last year (talk about luck). It's purely walk-on, but they don't limit how many times you can keep coming back. It seems the most we ever waited was about half an hour, and we rode it several times.

Myself, DH & DS(19) will be there. We already had a trip planned due to low airfares on Contintal out of Newark. We don't arrive though until Jan. 29. Flight is scheduled to land at 10:30am, so hope to be in AK by early afternoon.

I figured I'd ride down on Thursday (the 26th) and check it out. It looks like a great attraction!

We're going! We're leaving noon on Friday, the 27th, also driving 12 hours!! We managed to get AP rooms also at All-Star Music!! We have 8:20 Breakfastosaurus ADRs on the 28th, and then planning on getting in line for Everest. Hubby will go through the line with me, but won't ride.

At 10:30, we're meeting up with Deb Wills at Tusker House (Yes, she and Deb Koma will be at the Preview). Then we're playing it by ear the rest of the day. We're having dinner at Fultons (Lobster for Two!!!), then we're driving home on Sunday!!!

I was probably going to go to the preview anyway, and stay offsite, but since short-term AP rates opened up, I talked hubby into going, and we're actually going to spend some money on Disney property!!!
