Expedition Everest Preview - Who's Going?

They will be shooting a commercial of EE Monday morning (1/16) and Wednesday (1/18) from 9am to 4pm. DD was asked to be an extra, but she turned it down. She tends to get sick on rollercoasters. She was told she'd have to ride it 4 to 5 times.

That's awesome that she was asked!!! I wish I could buy the house next to yours so that I could expierence these really cool things!!

Keep the posts coming! I always know when I see your name that it's going to be something good!

I am hoping we will get to go on it for our trip in May !! :earsboy:

You should be able to bring up to 3 guests with you to ride. So if your other party members are interested maybe you can work it into the schedule!! Good Luck, Hope to see you there!

Really!! My sister is flying in for a conference with her company on the 26th. We are picking her up at the airport in the morning and going right to MK but if my DH and I can take a guest I'll bet she will want to go to AK later in the day!

Sorry, don't count on it ... according to Disney, an annual passholder canNOT take any guests, that is only for DVC members. When the email came from Disney about AP preview, I replied with my question "can I bring my husband and two friends?" and they responded with "This special passholder preview event is limited to current passholders only". I was considering bringing them anyway to see if they can get on ... a little Magic perhaps?

Yes, there are lots of interesting opportunities here. I am even on the extras list and have been asked to participate in a few things. You don't get paid for most of the Disney things. They just give you a free one day pass. The same with Universal. Since we have APs to both, it isn't a big deal when we can't do the shoots. For instance, they asked both DD and I for the commercial for Lights, Motors, Action. For that one, you got to sit in the stadium and watch parts of the show over and over. Then, you become a little speck in the commercial. LOL! Actually, they are fun to do!

My DH and I will be there! We are actually supposed to be moving into our new house but hey, this is more important!!

When you go to the DVC preview can you find out if it will be open 1st wk in March hubby is excited and hopes to ride this one.

Wow, I totally missed that! We have both, so I just assumed it was with both. My mistake! As another thought maybe you can find a DVC member that doesn't have 3 people to take with them. We are planning on asking strangers, once we get there, if they want to ride! I don't know yet what time we will get there or I would offer to meet up with you! For now though, there are just too many unknowns! I'm sure there is a way to get them on so, don't give up just yet!!!

Good Luck!!!

The last rumor that I heard was that it would be open to the public on April 22. We'll just have to wait and see if that is true!

That's cool, If I ever find a job down there I will let you know that we are coming and you will have to show me the ropes!!

Until then...

My DW and I already had a quick weekend trip planned for the 26th - 29th, so we were psyched when we heard about EE!! We're going to try first thing in the morning on the 27th.

We might be crazy also. We have a big family trip (about 15 people) planned for a trip in May. On a slow Friday at work, I was reminded about the Everest preview and jumped on it. I rented 13 points because we needed that many to stay in a studio, booked a flight for 178.00 each round trip, and got a compact car. We are only staying the 25th, 26th and 27th and leaving on the 28th. I can't wait!

Does anyone know the following:

Special time for AK to open that day?
Difference between DVC member previews and Annual Passholder previews?
What time have people been known to show up in the parking lots at previews?

We just happen to be camping at Ft. Wilderness with my son's cub scout group that weekend so I am definately going to try to ride it.
As for the difference between AP and DVC, AP preview is for the passholder only whereas DVC members can bring up to 3 guests. Not sure what time people will show up but I've heard there may be fastpass for that weekend!

Oh well, would have been nice but if it's only for AP holders then my DH and I will most likely go on Sun the 29th.
