Morning!

I can't believe we're less than 3 weeks away already
My DS, Leo, and I ran a 5K Saturday, turning in a 43:59. The full recap is here, if anyone's interested:
Turtle Trot 5K Leo took lots of time off of his Tangled 5K, but we weren't anywhere near our usual pace. I don't think he's a morning runner, lol! He's always happier doing our training later in the evening, so I'm still hopeful for a better time at the EEC.
My stupid left ankle and calf are driving me nuts; that whole area keeps getting tight, which then creates shin splints. I've been icing, heating, rolling with a rolling pin, wearing compression sleeves - it all seems to help, along with new shoes with a less stability in them, but I'd like it to stop altogether. Anyone else dealt with this ailment?
