Expedia Rates in September

Hey everyone, after finding that discount yesterday for room only I decided to snoop on expedia and travelocity. I found for various dates some really good room rates. I was looking in september and within a 3 week period starting August 31. Expedia is a 2 night min to book we tried to get 1 night by calling but no go. But I found

AKL for 135 standard view
WL 135 Standard View
WL 170 Woods view
WL 190 Courtyard/Pool View
Contemporary 180

FW Cabins 169

I would love to find AKL or WL for $135 but have searched both those sites! Can you remember which dates you found these rates on? we are travelling between 21 sep - 5 oct! Thanks!

Typically, when disney announces room-only general codes, Expedia is permitted to drop their prices to match the disney prices. As a result, even after the room only rates are sold out by calling CRO, you can still find them on expedia. It's been a while since I've done this -- since room only have been relatively rare recently -- but I have done it in the past, and it's worked out great. The downside is that CRO can't access your reservation, so you can't put in particular requests. You also need to pay a bigger deposit and the cancelation is a little more severe, but by and large, it's a good way to save money on a room.

I started my search on the 31st of August for 2 nights, then the 6 - 9 of september and then 15-17 of September. You may want to take out the weekend and try it that way. If you can get 135 for a portion of the time it may be worth your wild. It was called a summer rate. I put in the 21st of Sep for 4 nights and got WL for 170 for the first night. So it may not go out that far.
