Exotic Rasul

Sorry to bump this OLD thread, but I just finished reading the entire thread, and it seems that (8 months ago), if you were on the Wonder, you got Rainforest Room time and champagne with the exotic rasul. Can anyone confirm if they still do that, or is that no longer part of the treatment? Thanks! :goodvibes

Bump. Anyone?!

I was thinking about this as well, but when I looked into booking it, it was only for one, but it said for two....confused.....

On our Alaskan we had time in the rainforest room and sparkling apple juice after our Exotic Rasul, which was the shortest hour in the history of time. Loved the Rasul and it is definitely part of our "must-do" cruise list.

http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2661059 Here is link to an older thread. It was quite informational. I booked DH and I on our first sea day. We are both looking forward to it

Thank you for posting that. :) But I'm wanting RECENT experiences of the exotic rasul to determine whether or not they still do the champagne/rainforest room. :)

Yes, it IS confusing! But from everything I have read (and that's A LOT! LOL!), you put one name, but it's for up to 3 people at the same time for the same price, even though all other couple's treatments SAY that they're for couples and you can put more than one name down. Apparently, the exotic rasul doesn't work that way, but it IS for couples! :)

Thank you for your experience! :cutie: I do so hope that it turns out being this way for us as well! I'm really looking forward to this! (and so is FH :rolleyes1)

Same here, champagne and rainforest after the Rasul on the Wonder in January:thumbsup2

Oh, I hope, hope, hope, hope, hope they still do that next month!!! :goodvibes

Any experiences on the Wonder with the exotic rasul and champagne/rainforest room from the last month or two? :confused3

I'm sure they'll be doing it. Usually these sorts of offerings only change after a drydock, unless there's some technical problem, and this doesn't sound like something a technical problem would force a change in. For example, they've removed the steam option in drydock, but the other perks are still in place.

Huh?!?!

Are you speaking "hypothetically" or do you know that they have/are removing the steam options in dry dock?! :scared1:

I'm saying this because we will be on the Wonder's first cruise right after dry dock and I didn't know if you knew something that I didn't know. :confused3

And the reason I ask is because apparently, they don't do the champagne/rainforest room on the Magic, and since the same company owns and operates all of the spas on all of the ships (I think), you'd think that they'd make them more streamlined. So, if one ship doesn't offer the champagne/rainforest room with the exotic rasul, you'd think that the other ship wold follow suit. But, maybe not. :scratchin (I hope not! :yay:)

No, I don't have any inside information. From what I understand, the steam part of the Exotic Rasul has already been removed, but it may be that it hasn't happened on the Wonder yet. But if you're going on the first sailing after dry dock, all bets are off. I highly doubt that this particular offering is going to change that much, but you may be a guinea pig in that respect.

Do it anyway, then come back after and give us all the details.

Well, maybe not ALL the details. :lmao:

:rotfl2: Some things will remain in that exotic rasul room. ;)

Hmmmmmmmmmm.

After all I've read, I hadn't read THAT!!! Can any recent Wonder cruisers confirm this?!?! :confused3

Can you possibly show me where you read that?!

The description of the exotic rasul still says that it has a steam room:

Exotic Rasul
Duration 50 minPrice $89
This sensual body treatment conditions and nourishes your skin while uniting the 4 fundamental elements of water, fire, earth and air in one spiritually uplifting experience. Aromatherapy massage oils are worked gently into the body, and then you're invited to spread various miracle healing muds of different colors and grain sizes onto your limbs. Body and soul are elevated to a place of ethereal bliss. In the privacy of a secluded chamber and steam room, you can make liberal use of decadent facial care products, exfoliating creams and more.

You'd think that if they'd taken that out, that that phrase wouldn't be on the description anymore. I hope there's still the steam room! I was looking forward to that! :(

My understanding was that the steam was frequently TOO steamy, to the point of scalding. It's hard to regulate water temperature, apparently. There may have been an unrelated reason why this was removed, but I suspect this was the case. I've seen reviews where people said that it was just plain uncomfortable.

Regardless, just do it. ;) Honestly, if you hadn't known it was supposed to be there, and never got to experience it before, you'd probably never have missed it. And neither of you will likely care after that "experience." :rolleyes1

Wow. :scared1: I hadn't found THAT thread yet!!! Definitely entertaining reading! popcorn:: popcorn:: popcorn:: I actually had to stop reading it, as I got a little embarrassed even as a READER of that thread!

Well, that STINKS about the steam being removed (I've got a very high tolerance for heat, so I think I would have been OK). Who knows?! Maybe they won't take the steam out of the Wonder on dry dock in a couple weeks. Hoping, hoping, hoping, hoping, hoping.........

On the 8/9 Wonder sailing when you purchased the weeklong Rainforest pass for 2 people you rec'd the Exotic Rasul for free and that also included a glass of champagne. This was listed on the Spa Specials sheet they handed out at the Open House on embarkation day. In order to take advantage of the special, you had to purchase the weeklong Rainforest pass on embarkation day.

Not sure if this is offered on every sailing or not. But definately check the Spa Open House to see what specials they are offering. Hope this helps.

WOW!!! :scared1: :cool1: :yay:

I wonder if this applies if we already have the exotic rasul scheduled?! :confused3

Oh, and can you also tell me if there was still steam in the exotic rasul? If there was, did you happen to hear any mention of them taking it out during dry dock later this month?

I wouldn't think this would apply if you already have the ER booked, especially since they said you had to purchase the Rainforest Pass for 2 poeple only on embarkation day, but I could be wrong about that.
We didn't do either so I can't answer your question about the steam.

Since I'm only on a 5 day, I doubt they'll have the same special. :(

But even if they did, I wonder if that'd actually end up being way more than it's worth. We're planning on doing the exotic rasul and doing probably ONE day in the rainforest room. So, since we're not planning to buy the week-long pass, I doubt it'd be worth it money-wise. How much was the week-long pass for 2 people on the 7 night?

We were on the August 9-16 Wonder to Alaska. As jilljill said, the Exotic Rasul was included in the weeklong couples Rainforest Room pass, if purchased the first day. As a lover of the Rainforest room (my favorite place on the ship) I had never seen that done before. The pass was 189.00. There was definitely steam in the steam room portion of the Exotic Rasul room/treatment. Neither DH or I can recall if the steam was excessively hot or not. I do recall there was a lot of steam at first; we couldn't even see each other. There are 3 or 4 little alcove with a bench big enough for one person in the steam room. In the area where you are at first in the Rasul room, there is a nice big bench, plenty big enough for 2 people. One thing I will say is the shower water was very hot and the shower is not really big enough for 2 people. All the floor area in the Rasul room is VERY slippery. After you are done in the Rasul area, the spa hostess brings you over to the Rainforest Room to relax with champagne.

That sounds heavenly!

Even with the slippery floors and too-small benches! I still can't wait! :yay: I do hope that they don't take out the steam in the steam room though. Please Disney... just wait a LITTLE while longer!!! :worship:
