Exotic Rasul

We did this in May 2009 on another cruise line and loved it so booked this for our cruise on the Magic in October 2009. We found the steam room on the Magic far too hot. After our time was up, we sat just outside the room and had glasses of water. No champagne or Rainforest Room for us.

Has anyone done this lately? Just curious if we should book it. I haven't played in the mud in years and it sounds like it could be fun!!

My DH & I do it every cruise & look forward to doing it again in the very near future. ;)

We did this on our July 2010 cruise. We like it but we never gotten champagne & use of the rainforest room afterwards. I normally do not use the spa and nobody ever told us about being able to use the Rainforest room afterwards. When our time is up there were 2 glasses of water with lemon sitting out of the door. I'm disappointed that the Dream will not have it.

Edited to add: We were on the Magic and have done this on all 4 of our cruises and never got champagne or rainforest room time afterwards.

If you LOVE or at the very least "Like" your significant other... I Highly recommend this Spa treat! It was the most relaxing/bonding experience!:lovestruc

Thanks for this post, I have reserved this for our upcoming cruise and have not told my wife this. Trying to keep it a surprise for as long as I can. To be honest I was thinking of canceling it until I read this and other positive responses.

We were on the Magic two weeks ago and did the Rassule twice. Both times we just got the paper cups of water afterwards, and the first time we tipped a lot...so I don't think the champagne/rainforest room are common.

That said - it was really wonderful. The steam room is fantastic. Well, it's all fantastic. So relaxing. And, well...fun!

I have a very good sense of time and both times we were finishing up right when the attendant knocked to say time was up. If you don't have a great sense of time, bring along a cheapo watch (just in case it gets hurt by the heat and steam).

Tiffany, we did this on the 10/30 cruise also. We received no champagne or rain forest time (Just two chairs in the hallway with two plastic cups of water) and there was absolutely no steam in the room at all.

On our Wonder cruise in October 2009, we were called ahead of time and told the steam part wasn't working. We were told we could cancel without penalty or keep the appt., with 50% off the price. We kept the appt. We received champagne in glass flutes and were told we could hang out in the rain forest room as long as we liked.

If you read the DCL description, there is no mention of champagne or rainforest room time being included. Of course, though, this is what was always done in the past, so this is what we expected. Considering the fact that the table with two chairs in the hallway outside the Rasul room that we were seated in to drink our water had a plaque on it describing the Rasul treatment, I am guessing that the champagne/rainforest room bonus we all have come to expect has been eliminated. At least on the Magic, anyway.

We also did this on the 10/30 Magic cruise. The steam room wasn't very hot but that wasn't a problem for us as neither of us are keen on steam rooms. The shower temperature was lovely. We were given cups of water inside the room and we were given flutes of champagne when we were all done. There was no mention of the Rainforest room but I didn't know about that anyway so it wasn't a loss to us.

We really enjoyed it, a real fun time for us on our honeymoon.:cloud9::lovestruc:

Is this really not being offered on the Dream?? We really wanted to try it: ( And why would they not?

We just did this on the Wonder. We booked 5pm on Nassau day. I called earlier in the day and asked if we could get the $8 rainforest pass since we were having a spa treatment later in the day, they said no, $16 each. We checked in at spa around 3:30 and bought the rainforest pass's for the day. It was ok, wouldnt pay for it again. The steam rooms were too hot for me to handle. THe sauna was ok. The only area I sat around in was the tiled loungers and two people were sleeping in the other two. They came and got us about 10 after 5 and explained that the after cleaning the room the showers came back on so they had to dry it again. The girl set out salt scrub, lots of mud, and about 6 products. Lotions, deep tissue relief, face cleaners, face mask, etc. Said she would knock when 10 minutes were left. The salt scrub was really nice, and the mud was awesome. Then when each product was on you could sit in the steam room. There was a shower outside of the steam room as well as in the steam room. THe area was larger than I thought it would be. The products they had out were also really nice. I really liked one of the face products, but never found out the price afterwards. THey didnt try to sell us anything afterwards either. After treatment we waited outside forver for her to bring bill and she came around and was like your out already? I know it had then been about 20 minutes since the knock. She brought us each a glass of champagne and took us into rainforest adn told us to spend as much time in there as we wanted to:headache: if i would have counted on that we wouldnt have bought the passes. Ow well. We were spa'ed out by then so we went to room to get ready for dinner. I thought it was really nice, price was fair and it was our first spa experience:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Have this booked for Feb. MR cruise on Wonder really looking forward to it. I hope we'll have some posts from Wonder MR cruisers in Jan / Feb to get an idea of how it's being handled regarding champagne & rainforest room. I booked it at 3:20 on the Monday first sea day to get us right into the romantic and relaxed spirit w/ a little afternoon delight. I hadn't heard about the champagne and rainforest additions before this thread and of course now I really want them LOL.

Apparently they didn't build the room. Either they forgot, didn't have room, or it got re purposed. Either way, no rasul.

Since it seems to be hit or miss, we are not expecting it, and if it comes, then BONUS!!!

From reading all the reviews, the Wonder seems to be the one to give you the champagne & rainforest, and the Magic doesn't.

This will be our 4th DC and we have never done this. Well, I just booked it for my dh & I. I am not going to tell him. I will just tell him that I have a surprise for him and to follow me! It sounds very relaxing. I am hoping that they will allow us to use the rainforest room afterwards!!

Sorry to bump this OLD thread, but I just finished reading the entire thread, and it seems that (8 months ago), if you were on the Wonder, you got Rainforest Room time and champagne with the exotic rasul. Can anyone confirm if they still do that, or is that no longer part of the treatment? Thanks! :goodvibes
