Exclusive 2057 Old Key West Direct Contracts

I am looking at purchasing a extended OKW contract via Orange County foreclosure auctions. I was curious if someone knows the year that DVC started exclusively selling 2057 OKW contracts? I figured knowing the year would make it easier to find contract/deed I would want to bid on.

Just wondering, is your thought that you can buy it “below market”. With Disney willing to buy at the floor they set (ROFR), how is this probable?

btw: I like the thought just not sure ”foreclosure“ purchase works with DVC like it may with other timeshares.

I purchased my first contract at OC foreclosure auction. I got it at a lower price than average resale price for the same number of points.

Buying DVC via foreclosure is not easy! IMO, it's risky and should only be attempted after doing a lot of research. Here's a good article (from DVCNews.com) on the subject:

The last one of these on this board went through all this hassle and risk and saved maybe a couple hundred bucks off resale. Probably not even that if they had bargained better.
