Excited, put in an offer

I gotta say, this is by and large a very helpful board. So many patient (or not so patient, but still well meaning ) posters answering lots of newbie questions. Thank you.

I was excited to create a post saying I put in an offer on a BCV contract, but now...... drum roll please. I am super happy to post that the sellers have accepted our offer. Just waiting for the agent to prepare contracts. Whoo Hoo.

Post details when you feel comfortable. I'm currently halfway thru ROFR on a BCV contract and would be very interested.

Thanks!! Once all the paperwork is in I'll submit info to the ROFR thread. That is such a helpful thread when trying to figure out an offer price.

Hopefully in a few weeks / months we will be able to call ourselves brand new DVC owners.

I am hoping to hear good news next week that I passed ROFR, but it has been a long 3-4 weeks. Also, I agree that this community has been great in answering questions and providing outstnading advice on DVC ownership.

Congrats and good luck getting through ROFR. The proximity to Epcot and Stormalong Bay can't be beat. I'll have my fingers crossed for you as some of us have had a pretty hard time getting a contract through ROFR there. Good luck!

Congrats! Good luck with ROFR - the wait might drive you nuts, but the wait after passing might be worse.

I just passed ROFR for BCV and am waiting for closing and then will have to wait for points to load. Frankly, I think this waiting period is worse, because you know you passed the hard part and just want to start planning

We bought BCV just over a year ago after staying 2 years in a row on cash (and once with rented points). We used our loaded contract for two trips last year, and unfortunately cannot make a return trip this year so we are banking into next year for a big trip.

We love BC, the proximity to everything, the atmosphere, all the great restaurants, the boardwalk, walking to 2 parks--I think you made a great decision, in my humble opinion!!

Best of luck with being patient, it's not easy but it'll soon be over and you'll have plenty of fun times ahead planning your vacations. I hope it goes smoothly for you!
