One quick tip about Boma...it is a "start anywhere" kind of buffet. On our last visit, people lined up in a huge line from the right (where the meat is) thinking this was a typical work-your-way-down-the-line buffet. You need to just walk directly to what you want. I always start with one of the coconut curry soups! Yum!
We just ate at Boma's a couple of weeks ago. The food was really good. Our ADR was @ 5:00, so we were one of the first tables seated.
Our only "complaint" about the place was this line. When we first went through the line, it wasn't packed, yet, so it was no problem. However, when we had finished our meal, and went back for dessert, it was incredibly hard to get to that area. One that day, it was more like one continuous line with no "breaking point" to get into the dessert area. I moved a couple of times trying to find a spot to pop in to get one or two things, but got some dirty looks from those in line.
I stood there a minute, or two, and a man finally said, "Go ahead and cut on in." I took it as a friendly remark, but at the same time, thought, "Am I CUTTING in line?!" I certainly didn't want to get into line all the way at the beginning, but that was looking like where I was headed.
It was a little surreal. My dh said exactly the same thing. We were talking about which restaurants we would want to "repeat" and he said he really liked Boma's, but it was set up in a confusing way.... may have been that particular crowd of people.... they get everything, including dessert in one long continuous pass through the buffet!!!
