Exchanging tickets HELP

Okay fellow Disney Experts here it is.

I am going to WDW staying at the Poly in October. From the Disney store in my area I purchased an AP pass, so I can get a good discount, and one 5-day hopper.

After talking with my bf, we decided next year we are going to make a trip and bring my parents to WDW. We want to exchange his 5 day park hopper for another annual pass. I called the disney store and they said they cant exchange that at their store but they can upgrade me to an annual pass when I get to WDW world at guest relations.

Okay, can this be done? and where do I do it?

Go right to the Guest Services Window outside of any park entrance and they will take care of it for you. I am not sure if the hotels can do it.

Any Guest Services window should be able to handle. They'll apply whatever rate you paid for the 5 day hopper towards your annual pass.

The resorts cannot do this as they don't sell AP's. You can go to the Guest Relations window at any major theme park or to either of the two Guest Relations offices at DTD.

Hi - It is very easy to do at guest relations at the parks. We did that last year. Just be certain that he has his driver's license with him. I never carry a purse with me when I go into the parks because I don't like the hassle of going through security or lugging it around so my wallet was in my purse which was back at the hotel in the safe. My DH was not smiling when they asked me for a photo id and I didn't have it with me. The nice CM must have felt sorry when she saw my DH's face and since he had his photo id to show for his AP and I had my room key with my name printed on it which was the same as his last name, she went ahead & allowed me to exchange mine too.
