I have 3, 1 small one and 2 large ones. I would rather see a single larger tattoo of fairly high quality, than a bunch of smaller tat's all bunched together. I feel that it's a matter of personal expression, but it's not for everyone. I'm very picky about what I have done, and my last and probably final tat is of our 3 greyhounds. It was done 2 years ago to celebrate the life of our first greyhound Belle, who died of kidney failure. Piece of advice if you have planned on having some work done for quite some time, then delay it you might regret it later. I was originally going to have the greyhound tat done before Belle died, but the timing wasn't right, and she died before I could have it done. So I thought about it a great deal, and had it done in honor of her memory. She was our first greyhound, and will always hold a special place in our hearts. I've seen some beautiful tat's over the years, but have also seen some pretty bad ones too. I take pride in the fact that I did my research in regards to where I had the work done, and am sporting 3 fairly high quality tat's as a result of it. Have a greyt day!

SOrry to hear about your hand, Patsy! I hope it's feeling better with the brace. Is it carpal tunnel related?

Tattoos--I'm sorry, but while I think they can be really beautiful, and meaning ful...not for me. My cousin is a tatoo artist. Funny thing, we went to AZ last year for a wedding and stayed in a Marriott that held conventions. We didn't know there was a tattoo/piercing convention that weekend! It was funny because these 2 big men walked onto the elevator with me and DSs- with their entire faces, arms, etc. tattooed and pierced. DS8 was just looking at them--you could tell he wasn't trying to be rude, just really interested in all the details--does it hurt, etc! I was waiting for him to say something, but luckily he waited til we got to our room. :rotfl2: He did finally start asking questions to everyone at the pool! they were really sweet with him.

I do not think it is related to carpal tunnel. My sister's bf's friend who is a paramedic told me to bend my wrist in certain ways, and said that if it hurt while doing so, then it is carpal tunnel, and it wasn't.
I think laying off of the computer does help my wrist :(.

With how our economy is these days, will it affect your holiday celebrations, and gift giving? What ways are you saving money or doing differently?

I have cut back quite a bit over last year. Last year I spent around $3000.00 on family and friends. This year by the time I've finished off the last of my Christmas shopping my total Christmas expenses will be around $650.00CDN max. The reason for this is that I was able to take advantage of some really good sales over the past 10 months, and even though I only spent just over $100cdn per child, I was able to get quite a bit of stuff for them. I told the kids that because we are going to DL in Feb/09 that I would not be able to spend a great deal on Christmas gifts this year, as I was saving for the trip. The kids have been very good about this, and have been saving the money from their piggy banks so that they can have some spending money for the trip. Overall spending less, and saving more. Have a great day!!

A family trip sounds like alot of fun :santa:.

Since we are starting a new week...is there anything that you are looking forward to doing?

I've been saving money all year for our up coming trip to Chicago for Christmas. Money is tight, I hate skimping on gifts to the kids but they won't be getting what we usually give. I am trying to talk Joe into buying one gift for the two of us to share since we are taking a trip at Christmas.

The only thing that I am doing different than last year is something I have been doing since the first of the year. I budget $125 a week towards groceries and pay cash for them. Any money left over goes into our trip fund. I try to shop only from my list and use coupons. It's such a good feeling to have money left over.

What time do you usually eat your meals at-breakfast, lunch, and dinner?
Breakfast - 8 am
Lunch - anywhere from 12 pm to 2 pm
Dinner - between 6 and 7 pm

Watching the band perform at UIL Wednesday. Going to the football game on Friday to watch our undefeated team play.

Honestly I do not believe I have ever even tasted fruitcake...But just from reading ingredient descriptions it sounds kinda loaded with different flavors and complicated :confused3

What do you think about fruitcake?

I've never tasted it. I've heard that there are different kinds. I wouldn't mind going somewhere that offered tastings and trying a couple to see if I would like it.

I love fruitcake, but unfortunately nobody else in the family does. I've made it, but since I'm the only one that will eat it, I usually go to a bakery, and pickup a tiny one for myself, so that I can have my "fruitcake fix" for the year. Have a great day!

My dad likes fruitcake, so I have been buying it for him. And my son started eatting it with him last year. I do take small bites from time to time, but I don't care for the candied like fruits.

I wonder if it has to have the candied fruit in it. I know it's called "fruit" cake but I've heard that there are other kinds. I'll have to look into it.

Not sure about that. But there is a more cake like dessert called a panetoni, that has some of that candied fruit, raisins,....and that is very yummy. We get it every year from Costco, and they are made in Italy.

Nope. When we had our house built I had all these grand visions of multiple trees each decorated differently- Disney on one, Hallmark eskimos on another, snowflakes and snowmen on another, etc...Then we got cats and it was enough work just keeping them outta the main tree lol! :santa:

I will need to keep a close eye on my son this year with the trees, and the presents. :sad2:

We do not have a theme. I am hoping to one day have an all Disney tree, but right now it is a mix, and match ones that is very colorful. :goodvibes
