Strangers approach me all the time and tell me their life story. DH laughs at how much people will tell me. I never start a conversation. Maybe because I don't need to.

We're just back from a WDW vacation, and our best conversations were with practically the whole back of the bus section regarding the fun we were having!

In line, say for the Candlelight processional, if we make eye contact, and the person is willing, we chat. I suppose I most often start the conversation. This year, I truly think we chatted with the same couple as a few years ago. We "clicked" and sat together during the performance!

I've missed a few questions of the day!

Bread -- give me most any type. Love them all. Best is Rosemary bread they bake fresh and bring to your table at Macaroni Grill.

Life beyond our planet? Oh, definitely. And possibly much more advanced.

Do I start conversations with strangers? No, but strangers start conversations with ME all the time! I can't go to Publix without someone talking to me. That's nice I guess. My mother says I have a friendly face. :)

Other life in the universe? Asking a science major here :goodvibes I vote yes.

A side note....I found out my mall has a Yankee Candle store! Between that and the Williams Sonoma that just went in, I'm so excited!!

Life beyond our planet? Most definately. My husband is from Vartarius.

I usually don't strike up a conversation with someone in the store or in line somewhere but it's not unusual for someone to start talking to me. I guess I have an approachable demeanor.

If you could pick one restaurant to try, that you have never been to before, where would it be, and what would you try?

I have never been to a Red Robin. I would try a burger, of course. :lmao: But no idea which one, as I have not even seen a menu. Just the commerical where no one can resist one of their burgers. Very funny.

Dodie's is new in town. They are cajun seafood so I'd try their catfish for starters. We need a good fish place in town. Our only one was torn down a couple of years ago to put in a Steak and Shake. :sad2:

I am volunteering in my daughter's classroom tomorrow. They are making sugar plum houses-(gingerbread houses).

When you were a child did you make gingerbread houses? Did you make them with your kids? How about gingerbread men?

I just helped my 3 children and my nephew (he's 14) make gingerbread houses. They did a great job and want to make it an annual event. After they were done I made a gingerbread Nativity scene. It turned out pretty good but it was extremely time consuming.

I never made them as a child. My mom is not at all crafty.

Good Luck with the class tomorrow!! I was covered in royal icing..and I'm diabetic so I can't even enjoy it!:rotfl:

New restaurant? ~ I'd like to try this place on the beach that we drove by a few weeks ago. Not for the food so much as for the view while you eat!

I've never made a gingerbread house in my life. I did eat a shingle sample from the elf inside the life size gingerbread house in the lobby of the Grand Floridian last year though! I have made gingerbread men with my kids -- but they never look quite right.

Have fun decorating in your daughter's class! :santa:

No, I've never made a gingerbread house or cookies before. We're not big fans of gingerbread here but it's not too bad covered in whip cream. :woohoo:

I made my first gingerbread house after I was married. It was a total disaster, but I have not experience. I have made a few more since then and they came out much better.

We started out with Graham cracker houses in Cub Scouts. I enjoy buying a kit and getting everyone together to decorate it. It's an off-again on-again tradition. We won't do it this year, neither DS will be around for Christmas day. When both DS's are around, it usually turns into a "paint your face with icing" match. Last year the youngest had his DGF over, so it was much more sedate. DMom has arthritic hands, but managed to put on a few spearmint leaves, and I treasure the picture...it was the first Gingerbread House that we happened to do with her. Maybe I should get a kit and just we could do it together this year, in a way, that would be sad, but maybe DH could liven it up a bit.

DD always does a gingerbread house even now. Tomorrow is the day for it. We buy a kit because it is all about the decorating!!
We just finished doing the cookie decorating thing. It was so fun having a couple of Mickey cutters this year ::yes::
Very cute cookies.

Well, I am back from our sugar plum house decorating. It was fun to see all the kids really into it. Some of the kids frosting was hard to put on, others were smoothier, and other clumped up. They had a variety of different candies, and decorations to add on, and everyone had fun. :cheer2:

Christmas is just a few days away. Are you prepared? How have you been feeling this Christmas season?

And each creation will be appreciated by parents, I'm sure!
