DH has never had any back problems. He is doing really well. We were invited to my cousin's house for Thanksgiving before we knew about the surgery. They live 3 hours away. I left it up to him if he wanted to go. When we got up he still said yes, so I helped hime to get ready and we set out. We had a great time and just arrived home. He never complained about pain in the car ride. I hope he continues on this path.

So, what all did you have to eat? We had:

turkey
ham
cornbread dressing
gravy
cranberry sauce
corn casserole
green bean casserole
mashed potatos
fruit salad
rolls
pumpkin pie
apple pie
banana pudding

I'm stuffed!!!!

Believe it or not, I am sitting here at not quite 4 am  waiting for the others (DD and DDIL) to get ready to head out for some black Friday shopping. I never do this!! But DDIL wanted to and we didn't want her to have to go alone.

We wrapped presents yesterday for those here.
All my shopping is done. Decorations will go up the 1st.

I NEVER do this either. But my local scrapbook store is having a great sale, so off I go in a few minutes to stand in line to get my Bazzill 4 for $1.

After I need to totally clean and re-arrange furniture to put up the Christmas tree. And then I'll start thinking about what I can bake this year and put in that stand up freezer I hate. :rotfl:

I have only done Black Friday once, and rather enjoyed it. But never had the courage or desire to do so again.

This morning I have lots of packages to get together for a mailing. (No exchanges though.

We went to MK last night. :santa: We had our photo taken several times by different photographers with the castle as the background. Some with wreathe swags. One should have been very cool as the Partners statue was on one side, with the castle in the background. But the photos did not turn out well.
We bought one shot of the 11 taken, and I will post it later.
The castle with the Dream lights is BEAUTIFUL. That's why we had our photo snapped. The picture does not do it justice, but you will see.

Then while driving home the fireworks started when we were behind MK. So we pulled over to watch. I just opened the sunroof cover, laid back and watched the plumes directly overhead. :yay: Very cool, and relaxing.

On the way home -- hear a "poof", and had a flat tire. :sad2: I don't know what we hit in the road, but it sliced open the side of one our tires.

Great day up until that point. One of my errands will be to buy a new tire today. :sad1: It could have been much worse, and that I am thankful for. ;)

I need to finish my shopping and put up the decorations - hopefully this weekend! But, we are going to Disney next weekend so that is really what is on my mind!!

I've missed so many questions! I feel like I"ve been running a bed and breakfast here, with my parents being the 4th set of visitors we've had in the last 3 weeks!

I think about going shopping early today every year--but would rather sleep in. I'd love to know what great bargains you all found, tho!:woohoo:

We had the traditional dinner--

Turkey (a fresh turkey this time, brined)
Cranberry ??? --it was good, my stepmom made it
broccoli casserole
green beans
corn
sweet potato casserole
mashed potatoes
2 kinds of stuffing

pumpkin pie
apple pie

I try a new stuffing each year--still don't have a great favorite. We ended up with 3 extra people this year, which was fun. I liked having a big crowd at the table.

Back from shopping ....for now ;) We are headed out later for some "normal" shopping.
We only hit one store...Circuit City.
Arrived 20 minutes before opening (opening was 5  ) and the line was around the corner, all down the side and around the next corner and half way down the mall back  And it was cold.
600 limited in at a time. We made it. Got all we wanted. Video games and movies. DVD TV sets for $13. There were some things we were somewhat interested in but they were gone fast. Things for the Wii.
Took longer standing in line to check out then it did to do the shopping. I think we waited 45 minutes in line.
And there were still people at least around the first corner waiting to get it.
It was interesting, not sure I would do it again.

Got to mine about 20 minutes early, only a short line.
Got in, got my stuf, got out and came home.
Staying home.

Looked at the parking of lot of the mall, Circut City, and Target and thanked my lucky stars that we are doing giftcards & memberships and don't need any BF specials.

I got DH up early and we got our Mickey snow globe at Penney's. Then we got a few things at the Disney Store (one was a gift) and then back to Penney's to get two gifts.. I need to verify my list, but I think that completes my shopping. We are back home and DH is sleeping with his ice pack on.

I didn't go out shopping but I got up at 6:20 this morning and purchase the Tom Tom GPS at staples online. Got it for a great price and my DH also had a rewards coupon which we also applied to the final price. Was very pleased and didn't even have to leave the house to flight the crowds. :surfweb:

Saw the movie Enchanted tonight. :woohoo: Really enjoyed it! :thumbsup2 Seemed to get a good response at the end too. I think most everyone clapped.

It is time for Christmas parties, and family get togethers.
How many parties or Christmas events do you now have planned on your calendar?

We have one on December 16 and the second one, which is annual, on Christmas Eve.

DH is off all pain killers and says his arm does not hurt. We are going to see Enchanted this afternoon. Has anybody seen it?
