Hi guys! I know I haven't been around alot lately. It has been pretty hectic around here. My grandmother passed away a couple of weeks ago and it really threw me for a loop. Since then I have been trying to play catch up with the boards and with work. Luckily, there are lots of orders this time of year so that is keeping me nice and busy :thumbsup2 although it looks like I won't be making it to MouseFest afterall. :sad1: Other than that, I have fortunately finished my holiday shopping and am now trying to catch up with the Boards and play with my kids.

Okay, QOTDs

Sorry, I don't really like spicy HOT food. It's just not for me.

Traditions?
1st gift for each of us is new PJs on the eve.
DS and I bake TONS of cookies and make candy each year.
There is always a new ornament with a picture of the kids.
Hmmm, there are alot of other little things that we do that I am not sure would be considered traditions.

So sorry to hear about your grandmother.

Sorry to hear about your grandmother.

Here DD is definitely more into traditions than DS....she is the sentimental one.

We always bake and decorate cookies together.
Always have an advent calendar.
Must always have the same stockings and holders (she wants to inherit them all because they can't be split up ;) )
When she lived at home, she would unpack (and later pack up) all the ornaments and I hang them.
The Santa head MUST be hung up
Christmas Eve is music and new pajamas and an extra (that has changed over the years. It is something to keep a person busy that evening)
One gift is open on Christmas Eve
She plays "Santa" Christmas morning. We take turns opening, one at a time.
Must have cinnamon rolls Christmas morning.
A gingerbread house must be done also.

There may be more :rotfl:

Sorry to hear about your grandma :grouphug: .

Traditions-
*My daughter and I usually bake cookies, and other baked goodies for the holidays, but we don't have as much time, and with Brandon around, it is hard to make a variety, so we won't be making that many :(. Unless, I bake while the kids are sleeping.

*We usually get gingerbread house, but this year we are not. It goes to waste each year. I am going to see if Shayla is making one at school, and if not, then we will make a small one.

*Decorating the tree together.

Top three-what three things would you not like to recieve for Christmas? And what three things would you like to recieve?

Please no more Kmart gift cards(I really dislike that store), no more Swiss Colony stuff(give me Hickory Farms any day), no more no name body lotion/smelly stuff(I  B&BW, so spoiled, I know).

Would be so happy to get a gift card from Target, or B&N, or anything from Disney (t-shirt, pins, coasters, ornaments, even knick-knacks from them are great). Oh, and scrapbook supplies are always needed. :rotfl:

Hmmm......no perfumes (i am picky), no clothes (again picky), no food (...except good chocolate)

would like. Gift cards (anywhere), kitchen stuff, DVDs

No earrings since I don't have piereced ears, or wouldn'tt wear clip ons, no purfume, and no knick knacks.

Gift cards, bread maker-my other one broke, and Disney ornaments :santa:.

Hmmm, lets see. No perfume or jewelry for sure. YC's McIntosh Apple candles are always welcome. I'd like something that I didn't have to tell the family to get me, something that they thought of themselves.

No perfume, no jewelry

I would love anything Disney (especially Mickey), gift cards(from my favorite restaurants, or from Kohls), or Bath items from Bath and Body Works.

If you were sleeping, and were awaken by a loud noise, what would you consider to be the most annoying sound?

It used to be "Mom, I wet the bed". Which meant, taking off the sheets, putting them in wash, cleaning up which ever child it was, putting dry clothes on them and letting them sleep in our bed until theirs was dry.

Yup, nothing more annoying than having to do chores before morning.

My dog shaking her collar in order to wake us up, she does this so either my DH or myself will get up to put her outside. This happens several nights a week around 2am, most of the time I don't hear her and my DH gets up with her. Last night I got up with her and ended up being awake from 2:30 till 5:00 before being able to fall back to sleep. I'm really going to need that coffee this morning. :coffee:

It used to be the kids when they were babies. Don't get me wrong, I love my kids but I also love my sleep and I definately didn't like getting up in the middle of the night.

Now it's my dog jumping on the back door and barking/howling to get in when there is a storm. And the storm doesn't have to be over head either. It can be 50 miles away and he lets us know about it.

:sad2:  :sad2:  :sad2: We have these people up the road that are so incosiderate. They play their music loudly each night at around 9:30 or 10:30, sometimes later with a loud base  :sad2:  :sad2:  .

I hate the sound of an alarm clock. I don't care WHAT kind of clock. I just hate that. (Not a morning person.)
