I have never seen the foam ones.
How much do they sell those for?
We are doing a real pumpkin, but learned from last year that if we do it to early, then it will mold on us. So we are waiting till next weekend to carve it.

I found mine at Michael's (I think that they are their generic store brand of the Funkins foam pumpkins). I paid between $10 and $20 dollars on them but I went and picked up a few more this morning and they are now 50% off so I only paid $5 each for them. They come in small, medium and large sizes.
The name brand Funkins have a website, and their prices were significantly higher :scared:

We haven't done our pumpkin yet either this year. I was saving it for DS to work on with me this weekend. I am sure we will have a very strange looking pumpkin after he is done with it, but I am trying to let him do alot of the work (letting him draw the face, but I will do the cutting - don't need a trip to the ER for this).

Totally with you on the no moldy pumpkins. I HATE that smell!!

Other than that, it looks like I can start my shopping for the stocking exchanges this weekend too. :cheer2: Good thing too since next week looks busy!

My uncle, the one that was diagnosed with cancer 2 weeks after my dad, passed this morning.

Heidi,
I am so sorry for you and your family. My condolences during this time. :grouphug:

Thank you everyone.

This has been a pretty crappy year for my family and I will be glad when its over.

Advent calendar help-
I am putting together an advent calendar for the first time for my 4 year old daughter.
It has 24 pockets in which I will put pieces of paper with activities written on them and such. I will also include little surprises in the pockets...but I need help thinking of things to do.

Here are some things that I am already planning on-
*Making snowflakes and decorating her room.
*Writing Christmas cards to her friends.
*Making cookies and other Christmas treats with mommy.
*Drinking some hot chocolate while reading a new Christmas book.
*I have some Christmas books and activity books that I bought for her, so will do those.
*We will be putting together Christmas craft projects.
*Assemble the gingerbread house that we bought.
*She will be able to open a present from under the tree on certain days.
*Watch the Peanuts Christmas video.
*Make cinnamon ornaments for the tree
*Make bird seed ornaments for the birds
*Start making thank you cards.
*Put together a Build a Bear reindeer set.

What else?

Sorry I have not been around much. I have got on and posted some trip pics and then that is about it. My boys tend to be keeping me busy lately. I hope everyone is well. I want to catch up. :)

Patsy, you already have watching the best Christmas video.
But I would also pick a day to watch Rudolph the red nose Reindeer.

Thank you Amanda.

BTW that sounds like a good kind of busy to me. ::yes::

We will also go and take pictures with Santa.

Thank you mickey and Kim (sorry don't know your real names).

Patsy

Writing a letter to Santa

Going to the beach and making a sand snowman(since you don't get snow)

Do you have family nearby? Pick a day and go caroling. (could do this for friends too)

Heidi, yeap it is sure a good kind of busy. I am loving my new little guy so much! He is such a sweetie pie. :)

Patsy, he is waking up usually 1 to 2 times a night. How is your little guy doing? Is he waking much at night?
