Happy Halloween Exchangers.
So, what does everyone have planned for today?

Shayla has been looking so forward to this day. She started recieving Halloween things from last week, and she had already tried on her costume.

She will be a witch, and Brandon will be a wizard.

We just did our annual scavenger hunt. I put clues all around our property and the kids each take a turn solving them to find their loot! They love it! We do this instead of trick or treating..we live out in the boondocks. After dinner we will do our annual homemade pretzel bake. We make Amish soft pretzels from scratch. The kids are still out playing even though it's getting dark. Luckily it's beautiful out here today!

That sounds like a fun game to play, and yum the soft pretzels sound like a yummy treat.

My kids are too old to dress up anymore, but I did get to have some fun today at school. We were allowed to wear costumes and the entire school had a parade for the kids to see each other's costumes. I was a Grecian princess. :wizard:

Tonight we'll be busy handing out candy!

Soooo...who has more candy than they know what to do with today?
:hyper:

I haven't been here in awhile! I started subbing as an aide at the boys' school. Altho soccer practice is finally over, due to the fact that there are no lights at the fields and it's dark by 5:30! So at least we're home in the evenings again.

We had a great time at POFQ, just DH and I. What a difference without the kids! I think I put on a few pounds...we ate and drank ourselves around the parks.

Glad that you had such a good time on your trip. I have no extra candy, even though we got no tot'ers. I had John take it to his work.

We got a TON of candy last night. There really weren't very many ToTer's around here so they loaded Andrew up with candy and then gave more to share with his little sister who was busy munching tootsie rolls in her stroller.

Note: Tootsie roll stains DO come out of Cinderella dresses, LOL!

We always offer to trade Andrew a small toy for most of his candy. Since he is not a big candy kid, it is easy for him to give it back to me. He is getting some new Matchbox cars instead. Right now he is sorting through his candy pile to choose some pieces that he will be allowed to keep.

Oh, we had a red Power Ranger and a little Cinderella at our house.

Just wanted to share my Christmas gift. :goodvibes

ohhhh I like that! I've been taken by the snowglobe bug recently. I like the little ones too. So are you wrapping it or keeping it as an early present??
Kimba

Thank you Patsy.

Hi Nancy!

How was your trip? I keep thinking I should have left something at the desk for when you checked in. :goodvibes If I hadn't been worrying about DSs who all got sick the day after we left, it would have occured to me while I was there!

So where did everybody go?

Resting up from the weekend?

Taking a break before the bustle of Thanksgiving?

How about a Question of the Day.........
What is your favorite thing to eat on Thanksgiving?

The turkey, but I like it best the day after. I make a turkey sandwich.
