No mom for me either, but I am the mom and grandmother, so we are having a cookout here. DH and DS are doing the cooking and DDIL and I are just picking up some sides to go with it.
We usually take my mom out for lunch the day before because my sister is with her mother-in-law on the actual day. But this year Carol graduates from college the day before and we are having a luncheon for her afterwards. We are leaving it up to my mom to decide if she wants to get together on Mother's Day this year.
These days, I see a lot of people driving with their pets on their laps, bringing their animals into a store, ..... how do you feel about this? Or maybe do you bring your pet along with you when you go out?

It doesn't bother me but I guess it depends on the store. Ducky, my mini pig, has been in Petsmart and Tractor Supply. He absolutely loves to ride in the car and shopping cart. Now, my dad used to take his little Boston Terrier with him into Lowes and Home Depot (and also Petsmart and Tractor Supply). Not sure the shoppers in Lowes or Home Depot would know what to think if they walked past a shopping cart with a pig sitting inside - throughly enjoying the trip and attention.
