Indian - not sure of the dishes i would cook not familiar with Indian food, but would like to try it.

I cook typical American food as John will not try new things.

I would have to stick to what I familiar, and comfortable in cooking, especially for a competition since there would be alot of pressure, and that would be Japanese foods. I am not sure what exactly I would make.

How often do you take the public transportation that is offered in your area? Bus, train.....? And how convenient is it for you?

If you were to go on a cooking show, and could pick which ethnic types of foods you would cook, which would you choose? And what would you cook if you had to pick three different dishes? What types of foods do you usually cook at home?
I don't know about ethnic but I choose to be on a dessert making show. I'd like to bake cakes and pies.

As far as what I cook at home, it's basically home cooking. I'm not interested in complicated recipes anymore.

We don't have public transportation in my town. If I lived in Dallas and depending on where I worked, I'd consider the bus or train.

I'd love for the US to develop their passenger train system.

I take the buses and regional rails fairly often. I take the bus to go to a mall and the regional rails downtown.

There is a public bus, but I had only rode it once when I was younger with my friend, and her mom.

If you do not have a car here, you are kind of stuck.

How often do you eat out? By yourself, drive thru, order pizza, eat out with your family.....?

We order in pizza more often than we should. It's just convenient sometimes. We had pizza last night. I was gone all day w DD and absolutely did not feel like making dinner.

Last night, DH and I had gone to a luau! They had an open bar-(DH enjoyed it, but I am not a drinker, and the mixed drink he ordered for me was too strong). They had uncovered the underground cooked pig, and they had great entertainment with the dancers dancing different dances from the different Polynesian Islands. There was even the fire dancer to end the show. But I wondered, and which will be our QOTD.

When you think of going to a luau show in Hawaii, what types of foods do you think would be served? -(without checking online).

Or if you have ever been to one, what types of foods were served?

Will compare with some of the foods that were at the luau we had attended last night.

Interesting! I like this, because I've always wondered.
Ok-so, from watching the Brady Bunch and from doing crossword puzzles...;)..Ill say Poi

I should add I've never had it, and always wondered what it is like.

Past QODs:

No public transportation here, but loved the T when I lived in Boston and used it all the time.

Nickname...yes, but it's really goofy, and only because I couldn't pronounce my own name when I was starting to talk. :lmao: Only a few people left in my family who call me it.

They did have poi. There is the freeze dried poi, but not sure how well that tastes. It is an aquired taste, and more like paste.

There were items like tossed salad, potato macaroni salad, lomi salmon which is salted salmon with cubed little tomato, green onion, bulb onion...mixed together, kalua pig-the roasted pig in the underground pit-(if I have you as a FB friend, I had posted a picture of it on my page), fried rice, teriyaki chicken, purple sweet potato with a coconut sauce, taro and sweet rolls..... and for dessert there was pineapple upside down cake, coconut cake, chocolate cake, bread pudding with some type of sauce, guava cake, and haupia which is a coconut like jello. Each luau serves different items, but you usually have your salads, starches, then your kalua pig, teriyaki meat or chicken.... along with the different desserts, and side dishes.

We had gone to a seafood farm today with my daughter's club. We had seen things like lobster, oysters, clams, abalone, fish, crab....grown there or at the seafood farm across the street. So today's QOTD is-

Are there seafood farms like the one we had visited today that sells items to companies, and to the public in your area/state? And if so, what sort of products do they sell?

If not, then if you were to have something like such in your area, what type of seafood would you wish they sold?

Complete the following sentences.

*If I were to dress up for Halloween, I would dress up as ________________________.

*My favorite Halloween candy or Halloween treat is _____________________________.

*This year for Halloween, I am passing out _____________________________________.

*My favorite Halloween memory was ___________________________________________.

We have catfish farms around here and crawfish down south.

*If I were to dress up for Halloween, I would dress up as a Mummy or a Witch.

*My favorite Halloween candy or Halloween treat is anything with peanut butter in it.

*This year for Halloween, I am passing out all kinds of chocolate candy bars.

*My favorite Halloween memory was when it snowed while I was trick-o-treating. I was very young, but I just couldn't get over the fact it was snowing on Halloween, and I remember it very well.

These are easy. :goodvibes
