"In matters of style, swim with the currents. In matters of principle, stand like a rock." - Thomas Jefferson

Last week while I was cooking, I cracked an egg, and instead of the egg just having one yolk, it had two. My husband had seen it before, and said that there would have been twin chickens. Not sure if that is true or if he was just pulling my leg, but I thought that was interesting. I have been cooking for how many years, and that was the first time I had ever seen that. So today's QOTD is-

What is a weird thing that recently happened to you or that you have seen?

***Also, I am hosting the Christmas Present Exchange....anyone here care to join us? :santa: If so, check it out on the Exchange Board. :flower3:

I guess the weirdest thing I've seen lately were a couple of girls walking around at the State Fair with sparklely dresses on. They were something that you might see at homecoming. They weren't together but in separate groups.

Was she maybe a queen of some sort, and she just didn't have her sash or crown on?

The first one was with two guys. She had tatoos and was eating this huge chalupa. All three were as skinney as rails. The other one was with her boyfriend. I just can't imagine wearing something so fancy to the fair. But then, I wouldn't wear high heels either to the fair and I saw several women doing that.

Lately there is this guy walking through the neighborhood (teenager...) with a simply lovely vintage flock of seagulls haircut. I thought that was pretty weird, added to the fact that he wore pants that were so tight, he must have had to grease himself to get in them- and he was already a very skinny guy. :lmao:

My daughter has been doing crossword puzzles. She asks me for help, and luckily it is a kids one so I am able to help her, but I am not good, or do not attempt the regular crossword puzzles. I do like word finds, how about you?

Do you like crosswords, word finds, Sudoku.....?

I love crosswords, word finds and sudoku. I usually don't have time to do them on a daily basis but I always try to take some with me when I fly. They always make the time go by quickly for me.

I love crosswords, word finds and sudoku. I also like those number find ones, though not as much as the word find ones!

I don't think I have ever tried any, not because I wouldn't like them, but because my family is picky and whiny. I think I would love almond butter or something like that!

I've actually never tried any other kind of nut butter. I'm not a huge peanut butter fan, so that is probably part of it. There is really only one way in which peanut butter is great and that is in a reese's cup!

Oh my! My thoughts exactly!

I haven't tried any other nut butters but I like peanut butter so I'll just stick with that. I know I wouldn't like almond butter because I don't like almond flavoring. I do like almonds though.
