I usually have some toast with cream cheese and salami. If not that then I am probably eating a bagelful.

Since my daughter's school is peanut free, she brings Nutella sandwiches.

Love Nutella! The boys love PB/Nutella/marshmallow fluff sandwiches :rotfl:

What do you usually eat for breakfast?

I hate breakfast, but know I have to eat something. Toast w/PB or cereal usually. Sometimes an egg on toast.

I should edit this to add that I do love going out to breakfast once in a while! I just don't like to eat when I first wake up.

Today was toast, scrambled eggs with cheese and sausage..... but this was only because it's Saturday... Usually, it is cereal or oatmeal or something quick, esp for the kids. I like bagels too!

Now that it's the fall of the year I would take a Dump Cake, probably apple or peach! It is so super easy to make that my DH often makes one for his school's office staff!

At this time of year, it would probably be pumpkin pie. In the summer, most often it would be key lime pie or banana pudding. Other times of year, it's whatever strikes my fancy!

That sounds interesting! Would you be willing to share your recipe?

There are tons of cold weather meals that I love, but I think my 2 favorite are beef burgundy and stewed chicken and rice. YUMMY!!!!

Chili! With cheese and crackers. Sigh... to bad it is still 86 here today, as that is what I have planned for dinner- HA! :lmao:

Have you started your Christmas shopping yet? :santa: How many people are on your list, and who are the hardest ones to shop for?

Yes & almost done baby!!!

The kids are completely done except I need a gift certificate for whatever parks & rec class my DD9 chooses finally.... she keeps changing her mind. DS2 is completely done. Although stockings I leave until later for the most part.

DH & I are not really getting each other much this year. Socks and underwear are on my list personally. :lmao: I think he may get me an e reader though. Probably something in the android platform, simply for the reason he wants to hack it..... go figure, Hopefully it still works when he is done so I can use it for what it was intended for, an e reader. :rotfl2: Hubby is the hardest one of all, because he says he doesn't need anything or want anything.... :headache:

I also buy for my mom, brother & his girl friend (who is usually one of my hard ones), and usually we buy for my in-laws and all their kids, but this year we are cutting our spending and we all agreed to stick with small stuff this year. And we always buy for my DH's little sister- she has downs and doesn't get much through the year (his mom doesn't have much money, if any for presents so we always try to make her Christmas special!).

The only Christmas shopping I've done so far is buying Hallmark ornaments. I did that back in July for the points.

I did pick something up for Carol when we were in Branson in August. It's the neatest thing, a hair wrap for her hair after she takes a shower. She always tends to walk around with a towel wrapped around her wet hair. This is so light weight and has a loop to tie it down, she'll forget that she has it on.

I'm waiting until December to do my shopping, that way I can give them a gift receipt and if they don't like/want it/doesn't fit, they can return it for something else. They won't have to deal with return restrictions on receipts that are over a month old.

Just remembered, I did get Carol two tickets to see the Trans Siberian Orchestra.

I'd say Joe is the hardest though my sister and her husband are pretty close. Since Joe is in business for himself, tools, yard utensils, etc. are purchased as needed. It's hard to find him something he can't run through the company.

As for my sister, when she was married to her first husband, we bought Angel Tree gifts instead for for each other. Now that she is married to her second husband, he wants to buy gifts for us, forget the other. It was so much easier the other way. I think that this year I will give them tickets to the TSO.

I buy for the four of us, my sister and her husband plus her two grown children, my parents (Joe's have passed on) and my great nieces and nephews. We don't exchange gifts on Joe's side of the family, there are just way too many. The greats are who I buy the ornaments for. But I may have to find a stopping point, I've got nine of them now between three families. As my nieces and nephews get married, there is no telling how many greats I'll end up buying for since there are 13 potential families.

I also do stockings for my kids but will pick up that stuff in December too. And if James still has his girl friend then, I'll stuff a stocking for her too.

I did some major Christmas shopping on my trip to the mouse last week, mostly for me of course! I did get the kids some shirts for their surprise trip to the mouse in Feb, got my DH a nice statue which I gave to him early, as he had taken care of the kids for the week, so he earned it. Just have to buy some small things for our friends and that's about it.
