Sounds like a fun trip Belledozer.

Susan, I guess I am less gready then you since I only expect dinner. :lmao:

Have you found any type of antique, artifacts, family heirlooms that you were not aware of at your house/property?

No. My mom might has a few things that have been passed down but they are not worth much in monetary value, just sentimental.

If you were to get a new puppy, what type would it be, and what would you call him/her?

I would go the the local shelter and get one that has short hair, preferably one that is not all black. The summer heat really gets to them and our dogs stay outside. Any type would be fine but would prefer a medium sized dog, one that wouldn't get any larger than about 50 - 60 pounds. I would prefer a female and would have to see it before I could pick out a name.

Wouldn't happen, I am scared of dogs (was attacked by one when I was little.) I'm a cat person!! I have 2.

It would be adopting another greyhound for this family, and the name would depend on the dogs racing name and how to adapt the racing name to a more user friendly one (ex: Cates Dice to Catie). Have a great day Everyone!

Trish

I would probably stay with the same breed that I own now, she's a "Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier". She's a hypoallergenic breed and my DH who is highly allergic to dogs hasn't had any problems with her, plus she doesn't shed which is wonderful.

Typically we go to either the humane shelter or a no kill shelter and adopt.

And I know sometime within a year or so I will be faced with what should I do.... :guilty:
We have two black lab females. One is 11. One is 10 (who is actually lab and cocker mix).
They have always been together. Even the oldest had a "sister" until she passed from old age.
Both are in good health. But they are getting up there. :headache:

Not so sure I want to handle another puppy. But when one is almost gone, would like to take the other to a shelter to pick out another sister... :sad1: Just hate the thought of that...
DH has gone through a lot of dog training classes with our two current. Not so thrilled about doing that myself. But I will have to... ugh
Just don't like to think about it. But I know it is coming..... :headache:

:( awww that is sad.

My daughter has been talking about breeds of dogs alot these days. She even looked up the type of dogs we have at the bookstore today when she found a dog book. I wish we could get a puppy, but we have two that would teach the puppy how to run away from home, so no new puppy for us.

If you were to receive a gift card, where would you like it to be to? The amount of the card would be $15.00-so just to get yourself a little something. And, do you have an idea on what you would purchase?

Speaking of pets -- I would always get use out of one from Petsmart. :lmao:
And of course a Disney gift card would be good too. ;)

I always love going into Barnes & Noble, even just to browse. Having a gift card would ensure I'd walk out with some good books....I'd probably get one or two for me, and then get a few for DS as well. :)

First choice would be a Disney gift card, I'm picking them up right now to take with us on our trip next January.

Second choice would be a gift card to a movie theater or restaurant in the area. Seems like the only time we go to the movies is when someone gives us a gift card.

Hmmm, only one card? :rotfl: Well, I have to name three:

Kohl's - clothes
Target - books
Half Price Books - books

My top 3 would be:

Starbucks - good coffee
Lush - smelly bath products
Chapters - books

I didn't get my wish for eating breakfast out. Oh well..... We're going to church and then to my mom's for lunch. We're going to order takeout, probably from the Cotton Patch Cafe. My parent's don't eat out anymore so it's a treat when it's brought in. If I were to cook, then my mom would feel she has to cook, so we aren't cooking at all. Then Joe and I are going to plant two Knock Out Rose bushes for my mom that we're giving her, along with my sister, for Mother's Day.

Happy Mother's Day!!

Happy Mother's Day! :goodvibes

My brother is coming in from out of town today, so we'll go spend time with our mom and grandmother. After that, hopefully it will just be a day to hang out around the house, or maybe go to a park with DS.

I hope everyone has a wonderful day!

It isn't mothers day here in the UK, we already had mothers day here just before Easter. Happy mothers day to you guys though.
