Happy Mothers Day!

The family is going out to dinner tonight with a friend of ours that we haven't seen for awhile from the land of Ont (Ontario). Have a great day everyone!

Flowers :flower3:

I have been planting flowers for years in my garden, and really enjoy seeing them bloom, being able to cut them to decorate the house with, sharing them with family, friends, and teachers.... so todays QOTD is-

If you were to plant three different types of CUT flowers-(ones that you are able to cut, and put into a vase in your house), what would your choices be?

Do you grow any of your own?

I grow roses and have some mums currently in my rose bed. I don't cut my roses for in the house too often because I really like seeing them out in the yard.

I'd put roses, carnations and dafodils in my house if I grew them all. One day I hope too. I'd had tiger lilys to that also plus whatever was out there.

I would grow sweet peas, roses and lillies. I used to grow flowers in my garden, the sweet peas were always stunning and I used to get many vases full, and give bunches to my elderly neighbours next door. But then I got pet rabbits which can roam around our garden when we are in the house and they kind of ate all the plants!! We have just installed some bunny proof fencing around the flower beds though so maybe I can plant some more flowers! My rose and irises survived the rabbit munching, hopefully they will grow better this year though!

Sounds like all of you have very nice gardens.

I have dahallias, a certain type of iris, morning glory, sunflowers, gladdiolas.... :flower3:

If you had a free day for yourself, with no commitments, what is your daily routine, or what do you like to do?

It rarely happens with me as I've got 2 very active boys, but it would be to read a book, play pinball on our pinball machine, and plan for the 2 upcoming trips to DL, one in Oct/10 and a surprise family trip in Feb/11. Have a great day everyone!

Hmmm, get up when I want. Read some. Have lunch with a friend. Do a little shopping. Have dinner out.

It's been a long time since I've had a day with no commitments or something that needed to be done what so ever.

What is your top three favorite fruits that you are currently able to find in your grocery stores?

Grapes
Bananas go over well in my house but I don't like to eat them raw
Pineapple - is that a fruit? :confused3

We can get these all year round though. I would have put watermelon and cantaloupe there but I didn't know if they were considered fruit or vegetable. If they are a fruit, then they are my top two.

Not so sure. I haven't seen anyone with them done. My aunt has tattoed lips. Haven't seen her in awhile so I don't know how they look now that she's gotten older.

How do you feel about tattooed eyebrows? Do you have yours done, or considered it?

Hmmm......I don't know that I've ever seen anyone with this done.....or maybe it was done so well that I just didn't notice! ;) I've never considered having this done myself.

I realized that I did not really answer your question. I feel that if someone wants to do it, that's fine with me. Would I do it? No.

If you were a talk show host for a day, what would your main topic be about?

I have no idea. Let me think on it and get back with you.

Okay, I'm back. It didn't take as long as I thougt. It would be something really fun like Disney World!!!

I think I'd pick a lighthearted and fun topic. I'm not sure exactly what that would be though. As Kirby mentioned, talking about Disney would be fun. :)
