So, I am putting together menus for my daughter's party, and for our family reunions brunch. If you were to host these two types of parties, what would you serve? What sort of dishes do you usually serve at parties you have, and what types of foods are usually served at the parties you attend?

If you are traveling it will be hard to keep frozen, but if the party is at your house then i would make ice cream cookie sandwiches.

We just do a typical cookout. Sometimes at a birthday party instead of a cookout we would have 3' hoagies, with salads.

I would make a mud pie, and I think I will make one over the summer.

I don't mind getting gift cards. DH plows the neighbors driveways in the winter and one couple has given us gift cards in the past for him plowing.

For a child your daughter's age, I would probably do chicken nuggets, pizza, stuff that the children like to eat.

When we usually get together, we have burgers, grilled chicken, lasagne, spaghetti, tacos, enchiladas, stuff like that. It all depends on the time of year and what we feel like eating. Plus, we have vegetarians in the family so whatever menu I make, we have things to eat also for them.

I like both. Gift cards I would like to receive would be for Kohl's, Penneys and Target.

I like receiving gift cards. Some places that I like getting them for are-

Target, Walmart, Costco, Starbucks, and Jamba Juice.

I would make the meal and set everything up here at home.

Food would be steak and a baked potato. (Porterhouse for John, NY strip for me)

Flowers (i couldn't stand the smell for too long, so a bunch from the grocery store would work as they wouldn't be too expensive to throw out)

We never do gifts so no reason to purchase any.

I would get steaks as well, and grill them along with sashimi, and rice. For dessert, tiramisu.

And really wouldn't need anything else...maybe light some candles. And a massage would be nice.

I would love to make fried ice cream or tempura ice cream!

Typically my parties consist of healthy foods and then the horrible foods for you too. Haha we start off with a mozz/tomatoe salad and end in churros. So we never have a specific menu.

Something my family loves though is ziti! Any party would love ziti.

I like gift cards, but opening a present would be nice too. Gift cards to places I don't normally go are the best, like salon or massage.

I would do a sushi night out and spend 40$ on sushi to share, grab a $10 bottle of wine and just spend time together. We love sushi.

I would love to be with Michael Jackson (in the past of course) because of his dance skills.

Steak and shrimp baked potato or baked sweet potato and a salad, candles and coconut creme pie. No flowers, small two person table, maybe a little music softly playing in the background.

If I were to go on Dancing with the Stars, I'd like Max or Louie to be my partner.
