Excessive Room Checks?

Right, the thread was started on the date the person joined DISboards but the 63 posts have accumulated across the full 5 months since they joined, not all on the date this thread was started. You specifically called out 63 posts in 1 day and that isn't true.
I'm slow but I got it!

That’s a cumulative total of all their posts since they joined, not at the time the post was made. Look at their other posts, they were posting in late October. Your post count says 2524. Did you make them all on your first day? Of course not. It’s a cumulative total.

And no, you have no way of knowing how many posts someone has when they start a thread, unless you see it immediately.
I got it I got it!:)

I really appreciated you starting this thread. I haven't stayed on property in at least 15 years and was unaware of this being a mandate. Imagine my surprise if as a solo traveler someone had walked in on me. At least this way I can be aware. Yes I'm still scheduled to stay at the Poly in January but plan to really enjoy the hotel so may not always be out of the room. I'm generally fine with them entering the room to do their usual thing as it's kind of expected while we're out. What tipped the scales for me tho was reading that a check had been done by flipping the privacy lock and entering. Perhaps this was someone who was not answering the usual knocks, calls, etc and they felt there could be an issue. If this happens to me, well that poor checker may be in for some screaming. :scared1: Or passing out? Haha!

Please share … it’s often stated CMs can do that but I honestly have not seen a single first-hand report that it has ever occurred. And I’ve been reading these threads since the room-checks started ~7 years ago. Please don’t be fearful of that happening to you as it is so extremely unlikely.
