Exceptions to minimums at venues?

We are looking in to where to do our cocktail hour, and I am just wondering if Disney makes exceptions to F&B minimums at their venues. Since we will only be there for an hour, (not sure which venue yet, looking at a few) we wouldn't be able to meet some of the F&B minimums. Did anyone do a rehearsal dinner or cocktail hour in a private venue and have the F&B minimum reduced or waved?
