The three letter codes that are bouncing around out there, are what the agent uses IF you have the PIN associated with your account. Obviously, if you know the three letter code, you can try booking without the PIN.
There continues to be confusion at CRO as to whether these three letter codes are for the general public or if it is only for those who received the postcard/email with the PIN.
If there is "confusion at CRO as to whether these three letter codes are for the general public or if it is only for those who received the postcard/email with the PIN," then who are we to say who the 3 letter codes are for? Is anyone here "in the know?" Employed by Disney & have insider information? We are all just taking our best guess. Some of us are going to end up being right & some of us will end up being wrong... time will tell.
What is really annoying is that some people are really coming off as holier than thou, with wagging fingers. Lighten up. Whatever will be will be.
At least at Disney World.

The first time I called the CM first told me I couldn't use it and when I continued to question her, she punched soe buttons and then said I could. She quoted me 2 seperate vacations and I told her I would have to call back after discussing with the wifey and decide where she wanted to stay. That was my first big mistake. When I called back, the 2nd CM I spoke with would not grant me the code without a PIN code. We argued back and forth until she switched me to Guest services. The supervisor I spoke with refused to honor the code because it was not attached to my household. But she did tell me....
MAY I HAVE EVERYONES ATTENTION
...if the CM gives you the discount(and make sure they've given you the discount) and you have a reservation number then they would have to honor it!!! So make sure you know the price of your trip before calling, if you get a CM that is willing to honor the code, make sure they have applied the code and then make sure that you have a reservation number. The supervisor said that this would be a written agreement that they would have to honor even though it was their mistake.
