my mom is going to the cast-preview at PC this weekend. She will ask about the vouchers, and I will be sure to let you know. I will ask her about a menu, too.

wonderful and thank your Mom too!:sunny:

Jann,
Mom went to the cast preview at PC this weekend with some Q&C vouchers in hand. None of the restaurants were open, so she was not able to get a menu, but she did ask 2 different dining managers about the Q&C vouchers. Neither one could confirm or deny if they would be accepted. They told her to check back after opening day.
So much for getting a heads up. Sorry. :(

SUZENW, There are many places where the VKL voucher would be a good deal. One of my favorite lunch places is Le Cellier in Canada. I rarely eat anything for breakfast (unless you count lots and lots of coffee), so I really enjoy a late lunch.
I have ordered an appetizer, entree, and beverage here even without a voucher. With a voucher, I'd treat myself to a dessert.
Let's see:
Asian Shrimp Cocktail - wasabi slaw and horseradish chili sauce $8.99
Beef Tenderloin Salad - beef tenderloin tips, mixed greens, Asian noodles and a sesame ginger dressing $14.99
Maple Creme Brulee $4.99
Coffee or tea $2 (?)

Total: $30.97 which does not include tax or tip. Both tax and 15% tip are included in the voucher, however.

My choices are not by any means the most expensive on the menu. If I chose to go with the most expensive choices, then I would save a ton. I picked items that I have ordered in the past and/or would order in the future.

I, personally, would go to a counter service restaurant, if all I wanted was a cheeseburger and fries. For an $11.25 Q&C voucher, I could get a huge burger w/fries, dessert, and beverage at Pecos Bill's.

The vouchers are not always a great deal. You have to think about what you would have ordered, had you not bought vouchers.

Okie Dokie! Dear Sis just called to say that she got her vouchers, ordered appx. a week after mine were ordered. Hers list PC food court. #$%$#@#$. I'll be calling Hotwire again tomorrow...

you tried! thanks, I really appreciate it and guess we'll just have to wait with everyone else to find out :sunny: !

I joined hotwire and ordered vouchers last Thursday. I am used to getting an email confirmation when my order is placed but I have not gotten one. Can someone tell me if this is normal or should I have gotten an email confirmation of the vouchers I ordered.
I printed out the page that says "Thank You" and lists your order.
Do you think everythings of ok?

Wintermom

wintermom, I did not receive an email confirmation of my order either, but I got my vouchers with no problems.

Thanks Dandave,
This hotwire is new to me but I love the idea of prepaying meals.
Otherwise I stress about how much each meal cost etc.
Two years ago when we did the land and sea trip you could add on the silver plan and I loved doing that. These vouchers are a help now that you cann't add the silver plan anymore

I do not think they confirm that way, at least none of my 3 orders were but all came perfectly! no problems with them from me, evengot my rebate after I had already canceled

 I guess since I am new to WDW and this board, I can't grasp the concept of redeeming (sp?) these vouchers??

I have read some of the itemized messages and they got two meals, but used one voucher to pay? Is this right.
Do you have to use one voucher per meal ordered? Also are their children prices for these vouchers?

Sorry for the lame questions, but I really would like to save some $$ on food if possible while we are there.

It's not REALLY two meals....It 1 meal ordered, but it sometimes enough food to feed 2 people. The portions are really big and if you are small eaters somtimes it's enough to split.

The Q&C vouchers don't have children's prices. And it includes: Entree, side, (or Combo meal) drink & dessert

The Kingdom Lunch Vouchers do come at kid's price. Appetizer, Entree, side, drink & dessert.

Again it's not that people are ordering 2 meals with all the above but dividing the food up.

eg. with the Q&C at Pepermill - I had Prime Rib with veg.(entree) my DD had my side dish which was Ceaser salad & the drink (I had water) and we shared the dessert. See 1 meal- 2 people fed well

Wow got my vouchers today Federal Express. The did come very
quickly!

Can't wait to go, two more weeks, now I am just waiting for my land and sea documents:confused:

Can someone tell me if I can use these vouchers for dinners in some places.
We are going in February when the parks close at 7pm. I thought that is when we can do dinner. Is that a wise move on our partr??

topcat011, The Q&C vouchers can be used for lunch or dinner at counter service locations.
The VKL lunch vouchers are only good during lunch hours.

I think (someone please verify this) that you can use your VKL
lunch voucher for dinner or lunch at the Raintree Cafe at AK.
I am planning on doing this in about 2 weeks, I wonder if I need to call the restraunt to verify that???

Wintermom

wintermom, On the main page of this FAQ, it does say that the VKL vouchers can be used at the AK RFC for dinner or lunch. I've never eaten there, so I have no experience. If someone has used this voucher there during dinner hours, hopefully they'll let you know.

Have a wonderful trip! :D
