Nice pictures! I always assumed that the photographer was there for private photo shoots too.
From there, we all piled into the cars and headed back to Grandma & Grandpa's house in Lakeland to crash for the night. (Not the cars - those made it safe and sound. I was talking about us crashing. Into the beds. There was no bed damage either, in case you were wondering.)
Awesome! Can't wait to see that!UP NEXT: It was our last day in the parks. So we went to 3 of them.![]()
We had dinner reservations at Boma. We had never eaten there before, and to be honest, I'm surprised I got other people to agree to go. Bambi's father is a very traditional meat-and-potatoes guy, her mom is a vegetarian, the kids are, well, kids and don't like to venture very far from mac & cheese and chicken nuggets.
She meant business. I didn't know if she was setting up for a private shoot or something, but I asked if we could get a few shots. Not only did she take a few shots, she took dozens! Dozens upon dozens! Every combination of kids, parents, grandparents, etc. And here now, for your view pleasure, I present....Us.
Disney Magic: Check!

Let me give you some advice on how to find the in the resorts: Luck.I love all the pictures that the photopass person took! I didn't know they even had photopass people in the resorts untill I joined the DIS. How cool that you got one that was like a professional photoshoot. That is now on my list of things I want to do (if I find it) on a future trip.
Never hurts to ask, huh?Nice pictures! I always assumed that the photographer was there for private photo shoots too.
Thanks. A coworker is going down to WDW in just over a week with her three kids. Two of them are very picky eaters, but they're going to try Boma. I can't wait to hear how it went for them...What fabulous pictures! Love them all. I have to agree with Boma. The food seems to weird for my taste.
Thanks! It's too bad we didn't get the Photopass CD until after Christmas.Great photopass pictures! That's great that the photographer took so much time with all of you. Several of those pictures would make a great Christmas card.
Nah, she's OK cooking the meat, she just doesn't eat it.So do Bambi's mom and dad have to fight over the dinner menu every night?![]()
I see your kids are on the same diet as mine.
By the time next Christmas rolls around, those pictures will be over a year old. Sounds like an excuse to go back this December for more pictures! These are really great shots! I agree with Andy--I'm expecting to see one of these as a Christmas card picture. Nice job on the t-shirts, too! They look cool. My wife just tried making some of her own and while the first batch was a little rough, she's getting the hang of them.
Especially the porcelain furniture.Well, that's a relief. Those buffets can be killers on furniture.
Thanks! We didn't know what to expect going in to Boma. The really was much more "normal" than I had been expecting.Barry, what AWESOME photopass pictures -- I can't pick a favorite as they are all great! You guys did pretty darn good on those t-shirts too.
We've never done Boma for dinner; my BFF here on the DIS who does food reviews did not care for it either and she has never steered me wrong, so we've stayed away. I do LOVE it for breakfast though.
Glad you are back safe and sound.
Yeah, I guess we'll have to add one to his princess kiss count, huh?I love, love, love the photopass pictures. How wonderful to find a photographer right there at the resort. And that photo of your daughter laying a big smacker on her friend is just my favorite.
great pics and update barry!![]()
great photopass pics there. We only encountered two very grumpy photopass photographers that rushed us off others took their time![]()
Yeah, that is a bit odd. This doesn't make any sense. "Beverly" and "Sweet" in the same sign?
Awesome! Glad she got to see him. Finally, after what seemed liked hours, "catch up" item number 1 appeared!
Otto Von Bohn Bonn, Director...und Genius!
That's really cool! As much as it meant to Madison, it looks like it must have been pretty special for him to meet such a big fan!For some reason, an iPhone must have been one of their props, because Otto went to the truck, grabbed it, and used it to take a picture of Madison in her shirt.
I was hoping it was just a typo... guess not.So I balanced 4 meals on my tray and precariously walked down to Pecos Bill's to meat up and eat. (And you thought I was done with the puns! "Meat" up and eat! Hahahahahaha)
I wonder what the other people around you thought about the guy taking pictures of Dole Whips in front of the castle. After eating, most of the group went over to ride the teacups. I had a slight detour through Adventureland and Aloha Isle. My two best friends and I stopped for a little photoshoot on our way to Fantasyland.
Dole Whip right before riding the Tea Cups... just doesn't strike me as being a great idea.Speaking of catching up, I got to the ride just in time to give Bambi a few bites of Dole Whip before she jumped into a spinning cup full of kids and got to watch me sit in the shade, slurping down pineapple goodness.
Great "last" picture!By now it was after 3, and we had 4:45 dinner reservations elsewhere. (Telling you now would spoil the surprise.) We sadly started walking out of the Magic Kingdom for the last time, but stopped for one more quick Photopass picture.

I don't want to miss it, but not because I trust you!Coming Up Next: Kaylene's Adventure's in DHS. Trust me, you DON'T want to miss this...
And so it arrived. Our last day at Disney World.
While killing time waiting to check off our first "catch up" item, we wandered down to the Tower of Terror. My kids didn't want to ride, but Kaylene and Kayden did. While waiting for them , I noticed the attraction's sign.
Nothing out of the ordinary. Themed to fit perfectly with the grand old 1930's hotel. But then, a little Disney Magic (and some fiber optic lighting) took over. The sign slowly started to flicker and a message appeared:
After the ride, we still had a bit of time to kill, so, like any good Disney Park guest, we hit the stores. Goofy Hat Picture! (No, really, it's a Goofy hat. You can see it written right on it)
This doesn't make any sense. "Beverly" and "Sweet" in the same sign?
During our last trip, our DHS day was very rainy, and none of the streetmospher charters were out. In a really cool twist of Disney magic, we ran into him (the actor) that afternoon while shopping. (Scroll to the bottom of this post to read the whole story)
Evan, like I'm assuming all little boys, is a big fan on trains. So...
So I balanced 4 meals on my tray and precariously walked down to Pecos Bill's to meat up and eat. (And you thought I was done with the puns! "Meat" up and eat! Hahahahahaha)
It had been soooo cold earlier in the week that we didn't even stop for a Dole Whip. Sooo.....
Speaking of catching up, I got to the ride just in time to give Bambi a few bites of Dole Whip before she jumped into a spinning cup full of kids and got to watch me sit in the shade, slurping down pineapple goodness.
Evan had other ideas, and for some reason, did not want to be separated from Bambi. So she took the kids on the TTA while Kaylene and I rode Space Mountain.
Eventually, Rapunzel came out and got a big ole Madison Brand© Hug.
Coming Up Next: Kaylene's Adventure's in DHS. Trust me, you DON'T want to miss this...
We had planned for this, so Madison was wearing her "Otto Von Bohn Bonn Fan Club Member #1" shirt, which Otto promptly signed.
