Is it really worth all that money?? It will cost $1,400 for our family to spend one day there! WOW, that's alot of money. Considering that....should we go?

Yes its a lot of money - only you can decide if its worth it. We have been there twice, once without a dolphin swim (your entire party does not have to pay for a dolphin swim if you so choose).

It's a once in a lifetime thing - my wife & kids loved it. I stood on shore and took some great photos (telephoto lens). They do serve a nice meal that's included and give you Seaworld tickets good for the week so there some added value there.

Since they run about 100% booked, a lot of people must think it's worth it.

I would say if you are planning to do Seaworld also then that offset makes it worth it. It is a great experience and we are going back for a second time next month so that may tell you that I am a bit prejudiced. Also it can be a very nice relaxing day after the high tempo of other places in the Orlando area.

I think it's worth it if you do the dolphin swim. That is something I had always wanted to do, so I was willing to pay a little more for that.

Also, remember that all food and drinks throughout the day are included. You also get a free group picture when you enter. And you get a 7-day pass to SeaWord or Busch Gardens. So take all that into consideration when you decide whether or not to go.

To my family it was worth the expense. My DD and I both did the swim and my DH and other DD watched and did all of the other activities with us. We plan to go back asap. With the food included (as well as the drinks :rolleyes1) we thought it was not too steep a price to pay. I say to go for it!

To me, it was worth it. My daughter and I went and swam with the dolphins. Truly once in a lifetime experience. Plus, we got lunch included and our tickets to SeaWorld the next day! Well, actually you get 7 days but they have to be concurrent. Still, just one days worth of tickets was great. I don't even like to swim and can't stand being in the water but floating around the lazy river...swimming with the dolphin...snorkeling around the coral...it's very relaxing, a nice break from the hectic and sometimes crowded parks, and makes for some lasting memories.

It killed me to pay that much but, as others have said, the included admission to Seaworld helped to justify it.

My DS10 hates WDW. It's just not his thing at all. I had to drag him down last trip because my DD had an event there, and the only thing that kept him sane was looking foward to Discovery Cove. He absolutely loved it, especially the dolphin swim, and did not want to leave at the end of the day. We went over to Seaworld to watch Shamu in Believe and he loved that too. So for us - yes it was totally worth it.

Yes it is worth it!!! I think most people who haven't been there, ask that question and most peolpe loves it and want to go back once they have tried it...

I am convinced!! I bought my tickets today! Thanks for the feedback, I know we will have an awesome time.:goodvibes

Great news - I agree with what other people have said but feel it's important you make the most of it , take advantage of the breakfast/lunch and try spend as much time as possible there.
Having a 7 day Sea World pass also is part of the attraction for us.

I hope you will have a great day there... I'm sure you will :) If you want to look at some pics before you go, have a look in my siggy, there a ink to my DC pics...
