Everett--Beyond the Limit---anyone else watch?

Gosh I think this is a great show. But I really don't understand the risks these people take!!
It seems like such a dangerous sport, and soooooo expensive. Maybe it's just because I can't imagine spending tens of thousands of dollars on a chance to climb a mountain, in the COLD---which makes me think these people are crazy!!! Is it not as dangerous as the show makes it out to be???

It really is as dangerous and then some. The people who climb Everest fascinate me, as I try to understand the allure of attempting something so risky. I have been watching this reality show (my first ever!) but admit I enjoy reading about it much more. My favorite book has been 'Into Thin Air'. Anyway, hope these guys all make it. I think the graphics showing the mountain are awesome.

I've been watching it too. I hate their little sound effect though. The "ever ever ever rest rest rest" one. Some of those guys are way hard core- like the amputee and the athsmatic guy. Both of them seem like they are really prepared for the challenge. The bike builder seems like he is a liability to me. He seems like some guy that came into money and thought "Hey let me do this".
I know that I could never ever do anything like that. I prefer not to defy death as much as possible.
