Not OP, but it is listed here on the official Disney Site https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/attractions/animal-kingdom/expedition-everest/Where are you seeing this refurbishment announced?
We are going in February as well and this is my son's favorite ride. I have also learned that the main pool at the campground (we are camping at Fort Wilderness) will be closed for refurbishment during this time. This, coupled with the Genie + announcement, has greatly diminished my excitement for our tripThat is terrible news! My 9 yr old daughter is SOOO excited to ride Everest for the first time, and we are planning on going down in February.
Maybe they will fix the Yeti!
From what I had read, there are 3 foundations and the Yeti has its' own. But to fix that, you have to tear into the mountain to get to it.They have to do something with the foundation of the actual mountain to fix the yeti.
Well, the Disney company likes to quote Walt's saying "It's kind of fun to do the impossible". Let the fun begin. From what I had read, there are 3 foundations and the Yeti has its' own. But to fix that, you have to tear into the mountain to get to it.
Supposedly, the coaster track, mountain and Yeti all have separate foundations.
